UGANDA

Uganda is a breath of fresh air after Tanzania, with good roads and a far more educated populace who all want to speak English. The education system in Uganda is far better than many we've encountered.
The scenery is very different in Uganda with far more forests and hills and a cooler climate. Kampala is a bustling city with friendly people who make getting around a breeze. Want to catch a matatu to somewhere - ask a taxi driver, passerby, shop assistant and they will either point you in the right direction or take you to the pick up point and flag the taxi down for you!
It's a nice place but we're told you should avoid the deserts in the far north because of bandit action.
Ugandan posts:

FORT PORTAL
Good sights and bad parks - be warned: there is some whingeing involved!
KAMPALA
We've been up to monkey business and went ape over chimpanzees.
THE SOURCE OF THE NILE
Getting smacked in the face while playing in the water - and facing our fears.
Mt ELGON
Climbing mountains and doing stupid things on the way down.
