OVERVIEW

Struggling to cope with an oppressive government, scientist Bill Schmatz builds a time machine to help overthrow his ruthless rulers. But his plans are drastically altered following a police raid of his laboratory. The scientist, along with two assistants, a police officer and rebel soldier are transported to the ancient past, where dealings with their government are the least of their concerns. Soon after arriving in the past the group is confronted by a clan of bizarre creatures, who quickly overwhelm the vastly outnumbered time travelers. The captured humans are separated and their subsequent escape leads them on a search for their suddenly missing time machine. During their travels they discover the remnants of an ancient human civilization. When the rebel soldier takes possession of a sword left behind to honor a dead warrior, the weapon subtly takes control of his thoughts, compelling him to exact revenge against the evil creatures responsible for the demise of the ancient civilization.
