Case #014
This site was brought to the attention of John by his step brother in-law, Brian. Brain told John that his brother had gone into the woods a few weeks prior and found a Wiccan alter not more that 200 feet from his house. John, having previously lived in the house, knew the recent history of the house and surrounding woods. As John reports "There was always some psychic activity in the woods, but never this much. Especially during the day." John, Brain and a friend of his did some investigating and discovered that there had been a new trail cut through the woods and trees marked in a phosphorescent paint to make it easier to navigate at night but, difficult to follow during the day. The new trail lead from the site through the woods into a corn field. Then, it went from the field back into the woods and to the library in town. While not much is know about those in the coven, or exactly why they chose this site, it is believed that they were novices due to the way they created their alter, and the close proximity to the house. It is believed that they chose the site because of the higher than normal psychic energy in the area and operated there for about 6 months. Shortly after John began his investigations the site was taken apart by the coven and made to look like it never existed. It is still unknown what they were trying to accomplish or why they left and dismantled the site. All that is left is the paint on the trees and a few strange symbols. After the coven left the psychic activity went back to normal levels.
Strange forms had been seen around the house before the coven came to this place. This is probably their reason for choosing the site. Both John, his brother, and his mother have reported seeing strange things around the property and feeling watched at night if outside the house. However, once inside the house everyone feels fine. It is believed that the house is protected somehow, by someone or something. During the investigation John reported seeing shadows darting in and out of the trees, even going as far as appearing right in front of him. While John was able to see the shadows no one else seemed to notice them. John did not feel threatened in any way and thinks that they were just manifestations of the sprits already in the woods. But because of the coven activity. John does not believe the spirits are bad and does not have an explanation as to why they are there at all.
This investigation has been closed because of the site being dismantled. If a new site emerges near this one, the file will be re-opened. Until then, the case remains inactive.
