Early on this morning John woke up from his sleep for some unknown reason. He went to the kitchen to get a glass of water and then go back to sleep. As he was about to open the refrigerator he thought he saw a silhouette on the porch. Being 6:00 in the morning he could not see much detail in the dim morning light, but he could quite defiantly make out a silhouette of a person standing on the from porch. As he approached the door the person dissolved into thin air. By the time he got to the door and opened it there wasn't anyone or thing on the porch. Thinking that it might have been an optical illusion he went back to where he had been previously and tried looking at the door from different angles. He did not see anything on the porch anymore, and could not duplicate the vision. John is sure that he saw someone at the front door that morning, but can not find any natural explanation for the apparition.
