While PSi was en route to the scene several things brought an ominous feeling upon the group. Initially it was noted that the moon was full. This isn't a direct indication of trouble, but many darker religions practice rituals on full moons, which casts an eerie feeling on the group. Along the way to the investigation, several automobile accidents had occurred, many fairly serious. This again produced an even more eerie feeling within the group. By the time PSi started getting close to the site (about 5 miles away), intense feelings began to emanate from the direction of the destination. These feels were more of a base feeling. Not really being watched, and not really in any particular direction. The energy was just there, every where. Sometime the feelings would be very strong, then they would subside somewhat.
Once the group arrived at the site they followed the standard routine of sitting and observing the surroundings for a while. It wasn't long before a strong presence was felt directly behind the car in the woods. Also, other feelings were emanating from all around the car. After sitting in the car for about 5-8 minutes, the group thought they saw a red point of light coming from the left front the car under a tree. This turned out to be someone camping out in the picnic area. John started talking to the guy, and then wished we hadn't. Although he seemed nice enough the group weren't sure how to place the guy. He seemed altogether much too interested in getting in the car and going for a ride somewhere else, anywhere else. He claimed to not be from the area, and then would go into detail about stuff around the park. Anything he said he would contradict half a minute later. Among other things, he claimed to have knowledge of several types of magic or paranormal, then he began to spout out information, which contradicted any type of knowledge of either. He eventually became so persistent on getting in the car, it became a very tense situation. Fortunately John was able to convince him we would not be taking any passengers and not going anywhere he wanted to go anyway. He reluctantly backed off and the group immediately left, without hesitation.
Unfortunately the group was still tense about the situation and during the conversation and afterwards neglected to observe the surroundings. PSi would like to take this opportunity to offer a warning to anyone who potentially may explore dark areas in unfamiliar surroundings such as these. Before you exit your vehicle, be certain to observe your surroundings and be aware of everything round you. Even if you are sure of what's around you, double-check. This could have very easily turned into a bad situation (worse than it was) and even deadly. Please, if you choose to venture out into the unknown, bring as much knowledge and common sense as you can. Also, never go into an area by yourself after dark. Even if there is no one around to cause a problem you may hurt yourself in the dark. Nothing is more important than your safety. PSi would also like to remind you that we always carry a first-aid kit with us, along with a cellular phone. These can be lifesavers.
