British actor Jeremy Northam has come to the aid of his Possession co-star Jennifer Ehle by offering her shelter after a fire wrecked her home. The hospitable Gosford Park star opened up his rural retreat in Norfolk, England, to Ehle and her family when the actress was left homeless. He says, "She'd gone back to London to sell her apartment and had a fire so was without a home. I said, 'Come and visit my place out in the countryside.' They came and stayed a couple of weeks, which was really nice. I wasn't there all the time, they just squirreled themselves away. I loved it. I like to entertain. I like to cook anything that stays still long enough to be cooked. I cook a lot of fish up in Norfolk because it's near the coast. We all ate a lot of fish. I like Jennifer."
