SENIOR MEN

October 14: More goals at the Domain

A Matamata Swifts XI have drawn 3-3 with Cambridge U-19 in the final, final 2006 match at the Matamata Domain. The Swifts agreed to get a side together to help out their youthful opponents who are heading to the Labour weekend U-19 tournament in Napier. Neil Slater scored twice for Matamata while Andy Birchenough scored another long range net-buster. We wish Cambridge every success in their first visit to the Napier tournament.

The season is (almost) over. The Swifts won the Caper Cup and the Waikato Premier league in 2006. The Swifts 3rd team won the Waikato Sunday League 2nd division. Click here for all the details.
