Parrot
Simon Simon Talking Video Simon is a drop dead gorgeous Scarlet Macaw.  He is also a very temperamental critter, and has a beak that can crack open walnuts.  In addition to ear splitting shrieks, he can say Hello (which he does whenever the phone rings), Pretty Bird, What?, Come here, Quiet!, Stop it, Step up, Up, and Colorado.  He also laugh and makes cooing noises. Of course he makes the standard parrot "rawk" sound too.

Tortoise
What can you say about a tortoise?  It doesn't make any noise, lives in a tank and eats vegetables.  It is supposed to get to be a 100 pounds and live in the back yard.  I don't know about that.  It about the size of your hand now (9/04)
Spider
We went to the pet shop to get Simon's nails clipped one day, and this bug was free to a good home.  There wasn't one available so we took it.  It eats crickets and grasshoppers.  No one will touch it.  It sheds it skin every so often, and the first time it did, Terri thought it was dead.  Unfortunately, it lives on.  Ariana has named it Princess, but naming a bug is kind of pointless isn't it?  It's like naming a cat.
