Any Noble on trial may choose to stand before a commoner Jury for judgement
The Right of Demense applies no further than the grounds of a holding, unless its a matter of security for a liege's charges.
Any oath of Fealty must have the Escheat sworn in return, with the exception of oaths made to Oathbroken.
Anyone disatified with his local Lord's behavior may lodge a protest to that local lord's liege, up to the Duke/Duchess of Twin Hills.
No Oath maybe forced against any resident of Twin Hills against his or her will unless as part of punishment for a crime judged by law
(The reality of the situation is that most nobles who take this route lose a great deal of prestige with their fellow nobles.)
(Usually followed, a few nobles have tried to use the 'security' loophole of course)
(Yes, this means Liam Lords sometimes do not get fealty sworn to them, and Liam Vassals can hope for the Escheat Oath from their lieges, but it's not certain)
(Anyone wasting the upper lord's time with a petty gripe might regret it, and of course, if the lower lord finds out, 'Repay all debts' is a Seelie perogitive. However, this one normally works pretty well)
(This is relatively new, and was put in check to keep the Oath of Loyal Affirmation from being used upon the Duchy's people-strictly enforced)
