This is old news, but Magma has released the Myth 2 1.5.1 beta and the Myth TFL 1.5 beta. Curiously enough, neither of the patches are seeing much gameplay on the Playmyth servers. Lot of lazy folks who don't want to accept the latest patch supposedly.
I've completed the 50 question Myth multiple choice quiz as promised; however, I'm going to put off its release until Valentine's Day and make you all wait =P.
Playmyth has announced some changes in their regisration policy. The most major change is no longer constraining new players to use payed email accounts. For unranked gameplay only, a player can now make an account with a free email. So now you can invite your friends and burn them a copy of Myth 2 and they can hop on and be playing in no time =). When registering for a new account, Playmyth also will ask you to click on a link provided via email as confirmation for account activation, rather than simply sending you a password as before.
Silent Night is now officially a 99 max room. So far I have noticed no changes whatsoever impacting gameplay or hosting despite the amount of players in one room. I'll keep you all updated if any changes or problems occur in the room.
I also did a complete overhaul and makeover of how the news section is presented. Hopefully it will make it easier on the eyes.
Apparently Playmyth is undecided about whether to make their server room "Silent Night" a 99 cap limit of users or the traditional cap. They have been changing it back and forth and apparently are still testing the implications of having a room with too many users in it. I'll update you all as to Silent Night's condition when or if its population is official. Playmyth has also removed the infamous "Anna" bot from their lobbies, at least for now. Complaints from some users attributed that all Anna did was stimulate unwanted spam than anything else.

Another WWII film has been added to the replay section titled "Everything Goes to Hell." It's one of my more crazier WWII games I've had in a long while. It has a lot of crazy lucky and unlucky moments thrown in during the course of the replay, making it an enjoyable view. I also added a film, courtesy of Aragorn, titled "Luck with Duffs" in the miscellaneous section. Rather short, but very hillarious! =)
With the change the New Year brings, it only makes sense the PS community would change its member roster as well to commemorate such a minor event in the dwindling yet passing shadow of Christmas.
So far, 2005 is looking to be a great year already for PS as I'm preoud to announce three new members to the clan: Placid, X and Xaren! Each member is very respectful and definetely qualify as members of PS through and through. I hope you three have fun contributing to the clan and playing Myth alongside us! =) You can find bio's (some partially incomplete) in the clan member'se section.
As for changes (besides clan member data) to the site, I decide dto add an incomplete strategy guide of "How to Use your Myth 1 Units." I discontinued it after Myth 1 on Marius died because it was rather pointless to continue the guide so I thought I would release what little I finished. You can find what little I did in the strategy guide section.
Playmyth has also adopted several changes for the New Year. As expected, a full reset as been issued. Now we can all wail about with our flimsy daggers, poking each other. Playmyth has also added a rather odd chatbot called "Anna." Unlike the older Eliza, Anna appears as a player in the lobby but will respond in a similar fashion as Eliza with completely new messages. You can talk to Anna by typing in a message with the word "Anna" in it and she will respond immediately if done correctly. Oh and in other news, Playmyth has finally gotten rid of those damnable forced Christmas colors, thank god.
Project Magma is currently working on a Myth 1.5.1 patch for Myth 2. Project Magma and Flying Flip Studios are also collaborating to bring an update to Myth III. The exact release date and the specific changes both patches will make to the two games are still, as of yet, unknown.
Look forward to a 50 multiple choice self-assessment Myth quiz as well, in the near future, done entirely by me.
Wow, this year has gone by fast! Keeping with holiday tradition, I decided to do a bit of redecorating for the PS webpage. Actually, don't get your hopes up. Only the first page has been redone. I wasn't about to redecorate EVERY single page.
Well seeing as how it is Christmas, I thought I would give the faithful PS webpage and its community a little present. I would like you all to turn your attention to the new picture link below the poll. Yes, we now have our very own forum =). The forum supports avatars, signatures, post rankings (I used the Myth ranking system obviously), smilies, and various different kinds of text. So now you can fully express. In fact....this forum is even better than the Marius forum ::gasp:: I hope you all enjoy using it as I have had making it =). If you still wish to use the oldschool guestbook for some reason or just to browse really old posts, then I have left that up for you all to do with as you please.
Not so fast, I'm not done gracing the PS community with gifts just yet! I am currently developing a huge multiple choice, 50 question, Myth self-assessment quiz as well! Unfortunatenly, I must admit it will not be ready for Christmas. There are too many bugs to tweak and I want to test to insure the quiz works properly. I will inform you all on the PS webpage when the quiz is complete.

As you all probably know by now, there was a Playmyth rank reset last week for the gametypes of body count, flag rally, last man on the hill, and territories.
I added a rather small link to the bottom of the guestbook button. Basically it takes you directly to the Playmyth "currently online" list so you can quickly and effortlessly view all the online players in Playmyth. Enjoy the little feature.
Courtesy of Aragorn, he has once again submitted another replay. This one showcases him and his team's ubber Mything skills as they beat "Trow Arena Final" on legendary. You can find the film in the Soublighter replays section.
I've updated a few player rankings and added TopGunz in-depth biography to the site so applaud this man's Mything skills by checking his Myth life history. A worthy read indeed.

Obviously, as you can see, I have done away with all the vanilla plain font for the link buttons and replaced them with AAA internet style buttons. Looks much nicer imho.
You may also notice there is no longer a comprehensive member's biography section. Look again though for there is. I have taken the liberty of putting the bio's into the clan members section and dedicate a seperate page to each member rather than having the clumsy huge long window list of ALL the member's bio's like I had before. Hopefully this will make things more organized.
A new map has taken the Myth community by storm. It is called "Rocket Dorf Fest v5" and incorporates a TON of new and wacky features leaving even the tfl plugin "Crazy Glue" in the dust. There are so many new features that I can't explain them all here! You can download the map in the PS downloadable maps section or can visit the official site and find it for yourself.
Courtesy of Aragorn, there are now two new replays of Mazzarin's Demise ver. 4 being beaten on legendary difficulty. Both are very fine replays and players would do well to use the strategies presented in these replays as reference material for beating their own game of Mazzarin's Demise 4.
Topgunz has now been added to our fine list of PS recruits. He now, most truly, is in the best clan ever to grace the Myth community..........................what?

I apologize for the lack of an update last week. I was busy working long and hard with my eyes glued to the monitor making out an html webpage of myself for my html computer class. Yes, I said html. No webpage program was used, only good old textpad =). My page is now complete and I thought I would be generous by showing it to you. Tomorrow, my computer class will be having an html contest with the best page winning a free subscription to a computer magazine. I hope to win so give the site a gander and post on the guestbook there and throw me some approval =). I have borrowed a few web page techniques from this page and incorporated it into my html one: a guestbook, poll, webcounter, news section, cover page picture, etc. You can find my webpage here.
I've finally taken the initiative in setting up my webpage to be browser worthy. Now, instead of typing in my url (or if you have forgotten it) then you could type in yahoo or google or any other search engine and type in "PS Myth" "Pornstars Myth" and any other keyword phrases that aren't vague. Our clan page will then show up. Hopefully this will promote growth from users outside of our clan who happen to stumble in.
A new tourney was announced around last week called "Beat the Butcher." It is a 1 on 1 three round tourney with you vs. one player, "Sam the Butcher." Matches will be on 12:00 PM CST - 4:00 PM CST.? Only problem is the tourney doesn't specify what time the tourney starts or ends (it could already be over)?.? You can email Sam to find out if the tourney is still active. Sam will be on to play against all entered participants between those times.? This tourney isn't about who beats Sam but who beats Sam the best.? ? Prizes consist of $50 to 1st place, 2nd place is $15 donated in your name to Playmyth and 3rd place is $5 donated in your name to Playmyth. If you win 1st place you don't have to donate the money (ya know you dont want to).
Playmyth, for better or worse, has had a rank reset in the gametypes of last man on the hill, capture the flag, territories, and king of the hill. Time for endless more hours of repetitive rank whoring.

I'm back from my Hawaiian cruise. Took me a few days longer to get back than I thought due to severe plane delays.
To celebrate my little rearrival, I've posted my oh-so-popular WWII'ing guide in the Strategies section. This guide took a lot longer than I thought it would and is easiely the largest guide of the Myth Strategy guides so enjoy!
Myth TFL ver 1.4.5, made by PMABlades for the Playmyth servers is complete. This new version addresses issues found in Mac OS 10.3 or above systems. Apparently a Windows XP version is in the works as well, due to user reports of desktop crashing and such.
You may have noticed there is no poll or for some it still shows the same poll. Bravenet - the site responsible for maintaining the polls - is having issues so hopefully whatever problems they are having will be addressed in the near future.

Tomorrow kicks off the start of the Myth 2 "Map Kings Tournament." It's going to be an all out WWII only elimination tourney. For better or worse, there are no prizes planned. Any player can jump in and play. Tournament admins will keep track of points through wins, most damage, etc. For in depth rules and the required map, visit the Map Kings Tournament mainpage. There is also another tournament on the horizon called "Seekers Star Power Tournament." It will be a big 2 team tourney fest with, once again, no rewards planned for top finishers. You DO however have to sign up for this one. You can do so at Seekers Star Power mainpage. I don't have a clue when the tourney is starting, nor could I find anything on their mainpage.
I recently noticed in the miscellaneous PS films section, the links were all pointing to one file. I've corrected this and now the other films can be downloaded that couldn't. My apologies for this.

My WWII tutorial....will be up soon. It's taking me longer than I anticipated I'm afraid. Look forward to it as I will be discussing the principals of dodging, exchanging attacks, using items well, and various other miscellaneous advice.
New tidbit with the replay organization. I'm going to place a "new" message next to each replay that I just recently added, just for the sake of easier replay finding.
Uploaded one of my WWII films displaying my best grenade ever thrown, in "Grenade for Two." So look for the "new" message.

As you all know, today was 9/11. I hope you all took the time to commemorate the 2,752 people who lost their lives with a moment of silence or whatever other means (and no playing Myth doesn't count). If you didn't then take a minute of silence of your time to remember those who lost their lives, including the brave firemen, rescue crews, and American Cross members who gave it their best to save those they could.
Marius has just released a new stand-alone application called "Myth Chat." It runs natively on Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X. It is a convenient method of connecting to MariusNET or a smiilar server without the need to load the game. Basically you will save yourself approximately 7 primitive caveman seconds everytime you log on. Meaning after a week you will have saved up enough time to tie that shoelace you've been putting off.
Added my legendary "shrapnel winning film" to the SB replay section. It's an awesome film. That shrapnel must have had a heat seeker on it. Now you too will fear shrapnel =).

There has been a full rank reset issued as part of server maintenance on Playmyth. Right now even 80 points means high rank so try to achieve that Comet before anyone else does!
Added a new WWII film of me getting naded but having my misguided RPG I was holding fall directly on my opponent. A one in 10,000 probability occurence. You just can't make this kind of stuff up!

Looks like the admins in Playmyth were having a meeting yesterday in room "Comet." Wonder what it was about. ::shrugs::

Added a new replay of me taking on two guys alone in a team based assassin match. Also added "Updated Assualt" to the downloadable map section. It's a must have plugin allowing you to control fast paced futuristic marines that I recommend downloading. I've seen over 12 people playing it at several given times so you can rest assurred it won't just sit in your plugins folder collecting dust.

Well, it finally happened. I lost my Comet on Marius (view updated sun rank above). I know its not a big deal but I'd still like to tie the knot and have it anyways so if anyone wants me I'll be on Marius TFL waiting.
I took away the Monica Bellucci cover pic because of its shear length and just replaced it with the Azumanga Daioh Welcome pic. I think the cover looks more sophisticated and simple than before take a gander.
Added a video of oldschool Myth 1 during its development stage to misc replays.

Registration for the "Fields of Carnage 2" Myth 2: Soublighter Team-Free-For-All Tournament is closing at Tuesday July 19 so Wight Slayer can set up the brackets. The tourney is planning to be six weeks long and will commence on July 24 with the final matches planning to be August 28th. You can find more information regarding registration at the site.
Regarding the news section on the site. With all the updates, I have realized the site's news section is getting rather overcrowded. I've decided to cut out half of all the news and save it on my Hard Drive so it won't clutter the main page.
I'm planning on laying low in Florida throughout next week so I won't be here until then to update the site or be on Myth. I'll be leaving tommorow on Friday and I should make it back Sunday or Monday the week after next.
Before I leave, I've left you all a little replay, with special thanks to Aragorn, of him and Thor beating Mazzarin's Demise ver. 4 on Legendary difficulty. I've replaced the film of the old Mazz Beaten on Normal one Now if I could only get a replay of Requiem of the Dead beaten on Legend for the site....

I have just recently uncovered something revolutionary as to why some people couldn't find the PS webpage. It turns out when you input the url for the webpage it is case sensitive! Meaning www.geocities.com/dwurfur007/PS_Cover and www.geocities.com/dwurfur007/ps_cover are NOT the same thing. I have copy pasted and made duplicate pages now so that it doesn't matter whether you input lower or upper case for the "PS_Cover" portion of the url. Sorry about that.
In celebration of Independence Day, Playmyth has added a sexy new looking room to their servers appropriately called, "Independence."
Two replays added to the Misc Replay Section. One features a parody of a Wight and the other is a clip Bungie made themselves showing off their ubber voice acting talents.
