The square route

"it's true what they say about not being able to fit a square peg into a round hole...of course you can try and even succeed to a certain degree, but the peg never remains true to its form - can no longer be called 'square' - if by some inane miracle the peg escapes the promise of becoming hopelessly stuck and completes it's journey through said circular hole, it will have conformed and given it's corners to roundedness - scarred and misshapen forever through it's experience of forceful submission to the unforgivin anti-destiny...

there is a loophole...

that some mysterious player (who is somewhat wiser, and who sees the folly in persisting with the almost impossible task) will withdraw the peg before it gets stuck and rejuvenate the quest for the right hole...naturally the peg will not be entirely unscathed...no, it will display the battle-scar roundedness that can be used as a depth gauge for future attempts at 'fitting in'...a painful, yet powerful reminder that it is somewhat pointless trying to force a square peg into anything but a square hole."
