I’m shaking too much to write. Not just my hands. All my body, from my feet to my head. My legs are worst, very wobbly and uncertain to stand on, very twitchy and restless when sitting down. My shoulders and arms shake and jerk uncontrollably, and my hands tremble with or without a pen. I probably look alright from a distance, but my body is a mass of nervous twitches and jerks and trembles that I cannot control. In addition to this, my temperature has dropped and I cannot get warm. My feet are like the proverbial blocks and there’s a coldness down my spine. It’s an hour since I last took a puff on my new inhaler and I’m still feeling the effects. At first, nothing changes. But just as my lungs begin to open up, I get the first thrilling rush, and my heart starts beating faster. A light tingling wave spreads down my body, and my hands and legs go light and fluttery. It’s like receiving new batteries, I get a burst of energy that makes my body vibrate. The first time it happened it was funny. I was expecting it because it said that it might happen as a side effect. I got the rush and thought, wow, fab ! But when I could still feel the shakes an hour later, it suddenly wasn’t so funny. I hope this “side effect” is worth it.

I got a new asthma inhaler for the first time and it blew me away, literally ! I incorporated these experiences in my writing exercise, Kiss-Catch.
