Tied Apron Strings

Those apron strings are securely tied
It's time that they were cut
Stepping away from your mum
Won't leave you in a rut
The world won't fall apart for you
If you take a step away
Why don't you just try it
If only for a day
Those apron strings will stop you
Leading a normal life
Your mum will always be there
Instead of having a wife
So live your life in misery
If that is whats become
I'm going to enjoy myself
While you stay home with mum

Dedicated to a mummies boy.

Wedding Vow

Now the day has become
You've waited for so long
Your love will be united
Relationship so strong
Put behind you all your worries
Of money, kids and life
You'll always have each other
Now you are man and wife

I wrote Wedding Vow for my sister Julie
and her husband Sean on their wedding
day, so the poem is meaningful to them.
At the time of writing they are celebrating
their first anniversary. Happy anniversary
Julie and Sean.

Young Mum To Be

Last month I was a child
This month I'm all grown up
For now I'm carrying a baby
In eight months I'll be a mum

We may be very young
And have a lot to learn
But this child I'm carrying
Our love it will not yearn

Youth is on our side
We can teach it what we know
And follow every milestone
As we watch our child grow

A mistake our child is not
A waste our lives won't be
We will cherish every day
Of baby, daddy and me

Dedicated to my niece Sarah and her boyfriend Tony.
Yes they are young, Sarah is seventeen and Tony is
nineteen. So what, they're fit and able and have the
whole of their lives to cherish their first born.
