Delta Rho - Inside The House

Sammy Jo looked outside her office window. Watching the ranch, the green pasture and the horses running and galloping. Her conversation with Danny upset her. He was so angry and bitter. She was worried at what he might do or already done. She was glad Ashley was at his side, maybe she'll put some sense into him.

"Sammy Jo, have you seen my blue navy tie and gray flannel shirt?" Steven entered interrupting Sammy Jo thoughts.

"In the laundry room." Sammy Jo answered still gazing out the window. Steven watched her wanting to approach but stopped himself, maybe Krystle was right, and he should keep his distance. But he was moving out today and he didn't want to leave things between them the way they were.

"Sammy Jo, is something wrong?" Steven couldn't help himself.

Sammy Jo finally turned looking into his eyes seeing the sadness and pain. "I should ask you, you look like you lost your best friend."

"Haven't I?" He confronted her.

"Steven, we agreed to go our separate ways. I don't see what the problem is." Sammy Jo answered not really wanting to get into it. She turned away from him gazing outside again.

"We also agreed to be friends and now we're anything but…" Steven approached her.

"Well hating each other is something we do well." Sammy Jo answered bitterly.

"Sammy Jo, I'm not in the mood to argue. The past few days have been hard enough, I don't want to lose you too." Steven put his hand on her shoulders turning to look at him.

Sammy Jo avoided his look and from the corner of her eye saw Danny and Ashley approaching the main house.

"He knows Steven, I'm really worried about what he might do." Sammy Jo gave Steven a minute or two to understand what she meant.

Steven dropped his hands from her shoulder. "Oh no! Ashley saw Jim and I kissing the other day. It was just a matter of time."

"Yeah! I'm worried about what he might do. I tried reasoning with him but you know what he's like -" " Wanting to protect his mother, I wonder where he gets that from." Steven smiled wearily. Things between him and Danny were finally looking up, now this.

Steven opened his arms to hold Sammy Jo but she pushed them away, heading to the sofa. She had to keep her distance not fall back to the old routines. Steven was crushed before he could confront her, Danny and Ashley walked in.

"Mom, dad you're both here, great. Ashley and I have some news." Danny and Ashley was a striking couple still in their riding gear. Danny watched his parents stand not far from each other but seemed worlds apart. He hoped his plan would work.

Steven and Sammy Jo gave each other a worried look, Danny had a determined look, one they did not recognized.

"I've decided to attend Princeton this fall after all." Danny smiled watching his parents' faces beam.

"Champ, that's wonderful!" Steven was relieved.

"Oh honey if that's what you want, I thrilled." Sammy Jo waited for Danny's bomb to drop.

"Yes it is. Ashley will visit her family in Israel and then join me." Danny continued.

"Sounds great. Ashley if there's anything we can do to help, we'll be glad to do it." Steven said as Sammy Jo nodded in agreement.

"Thank you!" Ashley was grateful yet she was a bit uncomfortable.

"Danny, orientation week starts soon doesn't it?" Sammy Jo looked at Steven for confirmation.

"It's next week." Steven added.

"Wait. Ashley could you excuse us, I want to talk to my parents alone." Danny smiled.

Ashley smiled in return.

As Danny kissed her, Sammy Jo whispered to Steven "Here it comes…"

Steven chuckled. "We'll stick together and handle him."

Sammy Jo laughed and Danny turned as Ashley left.

"What's so funny?"

"Nothing sweetheart," Sammy Jo answered as Steven and her tried to keep a straight face.

"Okay, I have a few conditions if I go away." He looked at them. "One, dad stays here until I leave next week." Danny waited for the news to hit.

"Oh Danny, couldn't you have said something sooner now your father has to unpack everything." Sammy Jo said.

Danny was angry this was not the reaction he expected. "Two, during orientation week I want you two to come with me and spend it near me, together sharing a bedroom." Let's see them tackle that one.

"A week in NY sounds perfect! I could use a vacation!" Steven stated.

"Oh NY, shopping and friends. I was meaning to go there any way, I have to check on my news papers and magazines." Sammy Jo was annoyed but she wouldn't let Danny see that.

Danny was baffled he hoped his parents would put up some opposition. If only this could work. "Three, when I come home for vacation Dad stays here."

"Sure, no problem unless we're at the mansion." Sammy Jo agreed. They usually spend their holidays with the rest of the family at the Carrington mansion.

Steven was also annoyed but Sammy and him agreed a long time ago that Danny came first always. "Anything else champ? I think some one has some serious packing to do."

Danny looked at them they seize to amaze him. They would do anything for him, wow!

"Yeah, well if you two will excuse me, my girlfriend is waiting to me!" Danny turned and walked out.

"Well that wasn't too bad. I told you we could handle him." Steven smiled wearily at Sammy Jo.

"Steven are you sure? I'm mean us sharing a bed room for a week with Danny checking up on us." Sammy Jo asked, she was right to worry.

"If that what it takes yes. I'll be fine. So Waldof Historia or Sheraton? I'll make the reservations." Steven smiled.

"Alright, I'll get the ranch jet ready. Steven?" Sammy Jo said as he began to walk out.

"Yeah?" He turned.

"Maybe a week in NY is exactly what we need. Closure." Sammy Jo smiled.

Steven smiled hoping she meant it about their sex lives not their friendship. "I agree, we'll have fun. Conditions we have taught him well. Well I have some unpacking to do." Steven walked out. the situation was awkward enough.

Delta Rho - Later, This Evening

Jim put the spoon down as he watched Sammy Jo enjoy the mousse. She licked her lips and smiled at him. Jim smiled back.

"You really like chocolate! The things we could do with that." He flirted.

Sammy Jo smiled, dinner was a huge success. Jim called earlier asking her out, she invited him over for an early dinner. Jim was hoping to explain what happened with Danny but Sammy Jo didn't bring it up. He was glad. The last thing he needed was Danny to come between them.

"So about some cake and coffee in the leaving room?" Sammy Jo asked. Danny and Ashley went out and Steven had a meeting in his office so she had the whole house to herself.

"How about the bedroom?" Jim asked, smiling.

"Later…" Sammy Jo hoped they would get to it.

Jim waited patiently as Sammy Jo poured his coffee. When she approached and sat down, he pulled her close. He started kissing her neck, nibbling her ear and caressing her body with his hands.

"Jim stop it!" Sammy Jo laughed.

"You don't mean it…" Jim said slowly letting her go.

"Jim, there's something I need to tell you!" Sammy Jo stated.

Jim looked into her eyes, they didn't tell him much. She stood up. She was so beautiful, vulnerable yet strong. He was where he wanted to be.

Sammy Jo began explaining the conditions Danny set and watched Jim smile turn to a frown, He got angrier. Jim was like all men, possessive and easily jealous. Even Steven despite his sexual preference gave her a hard time about her lovers in the past few years. She expected Jim to be angry.

"Oh come on, Sammy Jo! can't you see what he's up too?" that little brat, Jim thought. When Ashley told him Danny was going away to college he was thrilled, now he wasn't too sure.

"Oh Jim you're over reacting! You have no reason to worry, if anything happens it has no future. You know that." Sammy Jo sat down next to him caressing his leg.

"Oh please, Sammy Jo, you don't honestly believe that! I have seen you two together…" He got up.

Sammy Jo got up not letting him finish his sentence. "Steven is gay. He made perfectly clear that we have no future."

"Oh please, the only reason you both held yourself back was Danny not Steven's homosexuality."

"Jim don't be ridiculous, I've already accepted Danny's terms. I'm doing what's best for my son. End of story." Sammy Jo stated.

"Sammy Jo, I don't trust Steven with you, please I remember what happened between you two at my apartment. Steven might have convinced himself he's gay but his behavior shows otherwise" Jim raised his voice.

"Jim stop it. Steven isn't here, you don't have to make excuses for your behavior. You're being childish." Sammy Jo put her hands on he hips.

"Am I? Well in that case, if you want us to have some kind of future, I'm asking you not to go!" Jim said hopping it would have some impact.

"Really! Are you going to demand the same thing from Steven? I didn't think so. I'm going!" Sammy Jo exclaimed.

Jim was furious, he knew Sammy Jo would never love him the way she loves Steven but second best was fine with him. He didn't know for sure whether Steven wanted Sammy Jo or not, he didn't want to find out either.

His all idea was to play them against each other, this changed everything. He realized Sammy Jo wasn't going to change her mind. Maybe he'll convince Steven. He grabbed, kissed her forcefully.

"Goodbye, Sammy Jo, I'll call you!" He stormed out.

Sammy Jo Smiled as she sat down drinking her tea. This worked out better than she thought Jim was jealous and furious. She had him exactly where she wanted. This trip to NY was exactly what might cause Jim to pick her. Poor Steven. One for her.

Steven stood in the hall way. He heard yelling and decided to come out of his room and check it out. He arrived a few minutes earlier. He had no idea Jim was here. Overhearing the argument had baffled him. Was Jim right has he been lying to himself? Or was Jim just playing with him? Or was it Jim's jealousy? He needed to confront Jim and see …

Colby-Co

"Wait! You can't go there!" Caress heard her secretary's voice behind the door. Alexis again she thought to herself. What does she want now… she closed the business book she was reading, when the door opened and Alexis entered the room. But this time she wasn't there alone. Jeff and Blake were with her, serious look on their faces.

"Blake!" she was shocked to see him.

"Hello, Caress!" he answered to her, staring at her.

"I tried to - " Caress's secretary began but the cut her.

"It's okay, you can go now" she ordered her and stood up. "Well this is a surprise. How are you, Blake?"

"What do you think, Caress?"

"I am sorry, I know you and your family put through a lot lately"

"Do you?" the old man asked.

"Yes, I read about that in the papers" she said. Stay clam, Caress. The most important thing, stay calm she thought to herself.

"Oh, stop the act! Blake already knows all about your games! So don't tell us you read about that in the papers, you knew exactly what the consortium is doing to us!"

"Alexis, please" Blake asked her. "Let's all stay calm"

"We are here for one goal, Caress. We want to know exactly what is your connection to the consortium and who is the person that running it right now" Jeff said to her.

"Jeff is my son in-law, Caress. And he's here to help me find out who is behind the consortium. Who is this person that want to ruin my family?"

"Blake, you and I was pretty close once, and you know I'll never do anything to hurt you" she came closer to him. "Can we talk alone? We have so many things to catch up with"

"No, you won't talk with him alone! You are going to tell us all you know about the consortium, DEAR SISTER!" Alexis attacked her.

"Alexis, please - " Blake tried.

"We won't let you ruin what we build for years, do you hear me!"

"Alexis, please!" Blake asked his ex-wife again. "Caress. If the friendship we had once is important you - you will tell us all you know and help me protect my family, before more disasters will come"

"I told you already! I don't' know anything about the consortium, Blake. I really don't!"

"The consortium helped you to take Colby-Co from Alexis" Jeff blamed her.

"And then you came here to warn Alexis they put a bomb in Dex Dexter's car" Blake added.

"So don't tell us you don't know nothing about those people!" Jeff continued.

"I'll call the security!" she started panic.

"Why? Do you have something to hide?" Jeff asked her.

"Or maybe you afraid we'll find out the truth?" Alexis added.

"Blake, please! You know I care about you"

"So tell us the truth, Caress. Tell us who is this person who worked with Woo!"

"Tell us now, Caress. Before things will get out of control. Who is this person?, who is he?!" Jeff rose is voice, demanding to know the truth.

The Carrington Mansion

The doorbell rang twice when Krystle went down the stairs. "I'll get that, Jarold" she said and opened the door.

A big black sunglasses hided the blonde woman's eyes. Krystle looked at her when she took them off.

"Hello, Mrs. Carrington" Lindsay Blaisdel-Woo smiled to Krystle as we FADE OUT….
