Detroit Metro Airports- Michigan

Dex slid slowly into the padded chairs of the waiting area of concourse B-52. His jet was being checked out because of engine fires, and Dex finally felt safe. Even though he had been in tougher situations he was glad he was alive now.

Dex smiled thinking that he had cheated death once again. As he looked up his gaze fell on a beautiful read head with the most amazing green eyes. She was fantastic to look at.

She smiled back at him flirtatiously; Dex felt flushed. This woman was obviously interested in him, and for once Dex was glad. He was through chasing women that were not interested. To hell with Alexis and Sable he thought, maybe now Dex would have a little fun of his own.

Dex decided that now was the time, so he got up, and walked over to where she was sitting, and asked. “Is anyone sitting here?”

“You I hope.” She smiled up at him, leaning back in her chair and crossing her legs.
He extended his hand. “My name is Dex Dexter.” He smiled.

“I’m Scarlet.” She said, accepting his handshake.

“So what flight are you waiting for?” Dex asked, taking the seat next to her.

“Wyoming. Actually it’s been canceled.” She replied with a sigh.

“Oh really,” he exclaimed. “That’s rather odd, because I’m on my way to Wyoming as well.”

“You don’t say.” She said as he slid closer.

“I’m a bit delayed myself. I’ve had engine troubles.” Dex said, taking in the scent of her perfume.

“Well I can’t say I’m sorry about that, other wise you wouldn’t be sitting here with me.”

The Carrington Mansion

Krystle was in a state of panic, Adam was still missing, and the family didn’t know where to find him. He had been acting very strangely for the past few weeks, and she just recently found out it was to do with him being schizophrenic.

“Krystle, you have to calm down none of this was your fault, Adam will be home soon, and then everything can get back to normal.” Blake said reassuringly. It was his turn this time to encourage her.

“Back to normal? Nothing is normal Blake, our youngest daughter left us, now Adam is missing.” Krystle snapped.

“I know Adam hasn’t been himself lately, but he isn’t missing.” Blake interjected.

“He hasn’t been himself, you know better than that, He’s schizophrenic Blake; you are going to have to come to terms with that. He need’s help.”

Blake rolled his eyes, “All right, I admit that Adam has some problems, and he needs help, but let’s not take it too far.”

“Blake, he believes that Mrs. Litton kidnapped Dana, but we know Dana is fine. He killed a man this year, and he lost his wife.” Krystle stopped in mid-sentence. “Oh my god I know where he is.” she stated suddenly.

“What?” Blake questioned.

Few minutes later Krystle slowly approached the grave of Kirby Anders Carrington. She was right. Adam was there. He looked so small and helpless, and that Krystle began to tear up. Blake and Krystle listened while Adam began to talk.

“Oh Kirby, I’ve messed things up so badly.” Adam said as he stroked the stone. “No one believes me that Dana is in Danger, but I know what I saw. I’m not crazy. Mrs. Litton was at the convention center, and she took Dana, no matter what the authorities say.”

Blake took a step closer, but Krystle stopped him. “I have to find her. I know she is out there.” Adam said, while Krystle bent down next to him and put her arms around him, Adam looked at her shocked. “How long have you been here?”

“Long enough” Krystle stated.

“I’m not nuts, Krystle. I know Dana is out there, waiting for me to save her”

“You are right, Dana is out there, but she’s safe in Billings, The police have finally contacted her, she was out of town on business. She was never here in Denver.”

Adam scowled at her. “You must be mistaken, I know what I saw.”

“Adam, I have never lied to you. Dana is safe, but you are the one I’m worried about. Please come home with us.” Krystle smiled reassuringly.

Adam began to weep. “I’m not crazy. I can’t be.” Krystle held him close to her and looked up at a stunned Blake.

Dex’s Jet- Mid West

Dex Dexter smiled down at his partner Scarlet, they had just made love for the second time since coming on board, and for Dex it had seemed like an eternity since he had felt like this, so vibrant and alive.

“You are amazing” Scarlet stated, breathing heavily.

“So I’ve been told.” Dex said with a sly smile.

“I bet you have.” She said as she pulled him into another kiss. “When we land, will I ever see you again?”

“Definitely” Dex answered, and this was just was Scarlet wanted to hear, she pulled Dex down onto of her again, and the two began to make love again.

The Carrington Mansion - the Next Morning

Blake paced the floor waiting for Dr. Rutherford to finish his prognosis of Adam.

Krystle had Adam’s things taken back to his room last night, but Adam sent them back to his car saying that he wanted to drive to Billings Montana to see Dana himself, first thing on the morning.

Blake and Krystle knew that a doctor must be called, but now they were worried that Adam might never become well again.

A soft knock at the door marked the entrance of Dr. Rutherford. “I’m finished with Adam, and I would like to talk with the two of you.”

“How is he?” Krystle asked worried.

“Well Krystle, if he doesn’t get treatment now, he may never regain his sanity.”

“What can we do to help?” This time Blake questioned.

“I want to check him into the Colorado Springs Medical Center. I believe that it would be best to pull Adam out of this environment and place him somewhere that he can get twenty four hour treatment.”

“He will never agree to that.” Blake said.

“I know that Blake, that is why I need your signature on this.” He said handing Blake a document. “I want you to sign this waver allowing us to treat your son.

Blake looked at Krystle. He was suspicious.

“It’s all right, Blake. I know this facility. I’m sure they’ll do everything they can to help Adam” she convinced him. He took a pen and signed the papers. Krystle put her arms around her husband.

“It’s for the best, Blake”

“I know I just can’t believe I had to do it.” Blake said. He turned to the doctor. “When will you take Adam?”

“I have some staff here, they will take him immediately.”

“What, now?” Krystle wondered. Few minutes later she and Blake saw with Adam and tried to explain him he have to get treatment. The last things they wanted were to see him taken to the clinic by force.

“No way, there is nothing wrong with me!” Adam stood up when they told him the news.

“Adam, listen to me, you are not well. This place will be good for you” Krystle tried.

“No, no way!” Adam raised his voice.

“Adam, please listen to me – “ Blake reached his hand to his son, but Adam rejected him and pushed the old man.

“Blake!” Krystle ran to her husband.

“I’m fine, darling. I’m fine” he calms her.

“You are trying to send me away, but not. I won’t let you do this to me, no!” He frowned and went to the door, willing to leave, when two men in white showed up at the doorstep and blocked the entrance.

“Doctor – “ Krystle didn’t want to see Adam taken from her this way.

“There is no choice” the doctor said when the two men pulled Adam out.

“No, No you can’t do this to me.” Adam screamed and kicked. “Please father stop them I’m not crazy. I know what I saw was real!”

Krystle couldn’t take the sight; she turned and buried her face into Blake’s chest, trying to drown out Adam’s screams…

Delta Rho

Krystina walked into the living room, wearing a bathing suit. Kyle called an hour earlier and asked her if she wants to spend the day in the renew country club at La Mirage. She thought it could be great, but didn’t wanted to take the chance Fallon or her father will be there, so she suggested Kyle to spend the day at the pool at the ranch.

“Krys?” Kyle called when he entered the house. He found her next to the bar, looking at a family photos from the last few years. He knew how much she loved her parents and he felt bad with that. He really loved Krystina. He wanted to change so much and to prove the Carringtons he is not the bad guy they think he is. But what can he do? He thought over and over again to go to the police and tell him all he knows about the consortium – but he was afraid. They already warned him once not to get involved, and besides, he committed some serious crimes that no judge in the world will agree to ignore from.

“Hi Kyle” Krystina turned to him when she notes he entered.

“Are you okay?” he asked, looking at the pictures.

“Of course I am, why I wouldn’t be?” she didn’t wanted to start a conversation about her family, but she saw it coming.

“Krystina, you don’t need to pretend with me. I know you miss your family” he caressed her hair.

“I love to be here, Sammy Jo is really great you know”

“You don’t need to convince. You are the one who suffer”

“Suffer? What causing you to think I’m suffer?” she wondered.

“You not?”

“Kyle. What is it that you really want to say?”

“I just think maybe your parents are right. I saw the look in their eyes the other day, Krys. They really love you”

“So you with them now, hmm?”

“I am with you, all right? I want you to be happy, to do what is best for you. I hate to see you so miserable like that”

“I’m not miserable” she insisted.

“But you miss home. You miss your family, and especially to your father”

“My father let me down, Kyle. And I won’t go home until he’ll understand how wrong he is not willing to accept you. You are a part of my life. I love you, Kyle. And nothing will ever change it”

“I hope so”

“What do you mean? Kyle! You are the love of my life. I don’t care what my father or mother think about you. I know you are the one for me, and that what really counts. Right?”

“Right” he answered and kissed her. “I love you too Krystina. More then you’ll ever know” he whispered. She smiled to him and they softly kissed, when the main door opened and Jim walked in.

“Hi, I’m sorry to interrupt. Is Sammy Jo waked up?”

“Yes, I believe she’s upstairs, Jim”

“Thanks” Jim said and went upstairs.

“Where were we?” Kyle asked Krystina smiling.

“Here I think…” she smiled back and kissed him.

Jim walked away leaving Kyle and Kristina alone. He smiled young love was so cute. He slowly opened the bedroom door listening and realized Sammy Jo must be sleeping. She wasn’t up yet. He headed towards her side of the bed, thinking he’d kiss her and surprise her. His night with Lindsay was wonderful but it was Sammy Jo he wanted to be with. Now it was time to kiss and make up. He approached the bed and stood horrified. Sammy Jo’s head was on Steven naked chest as Steven’s arm was around her. Jim walked out slamming the door.

“The hell with you, Steven! Sammy Jo will be mine, no matter what it takes!” He vowed, while inside the room Sammy Jo and Steven woke up.

“Good morning…” Steven smiled to her and she smiled back, not knowing Jim was there just few moments ago.

La Mirage - FAllon Colby's office

“I’m sorry Harold, but I don’t think we should add to the exercise room, when people are here on vacation, the last thing they want to do is exercise. They want to relax and have fun, I think we need to add another pool, more hot tubs, maybe hire a hotel masseuse.”

“Well I think you are wrong, I believe that people who are on vacation want to stay fit, but you are the boss.” Harold smiled condescendingly. He hated the Colby bitch, but smiled none the less.

“Oh Harold, I was looking over last months ledger.” Fallon began, and Harold looked up at her face noticeably upset as Fallon continued. “Something’s don’t add up, I compared them to the one father has on hard drive, and the numbers are slightly different, I was hoping you could clear that up?”

Harold pulled as his collar losing up his tie, trying to think of a lie quick enough. “Well, you see I’m not familiar with your father’s back ups, but I’m sure that Sable kept perfect ledgers, I would trust the ones she left behind.”

“Well, I normally would, but the one’s she left show us in the red ink, but fathers has us showing a profit, I was hoping that you would check both over, and maybe bring it back to my office later today. I hope you can clear this up for me.” Fallon said as she handed the ledger and a copy on disk to Harold.

“I will look it over, but I’m not sure how much good it would do.” Harold wondered is Fallon suspected anything, but he didn’t think she was that bright. “I’ll come back around four.” He said leaving the room.

When the door was closed behind him, Fallon looked over to the joining office; Miles Colby opened the door, and entered the room. He arrived to Denver soon as possible after Fallon called him. Jeff wasn’t around to help her with this mystery and she knew Miles would be happy to help her with that.

“Well … what do you think?” Fallon looked up into Miles strong face, hoping that he would hold the answers to the mystery that she uncovered.

“The truth is that I might need more time, I’ve been researching the history of this place after the fire in 86, your father sold it then, bought it in 91, and then turned it over to mother to run in 95. She hired Harold in 97, and things have progressively gotten worse. He’s got a major hold in every department La Mirage holds. And now with the ledgers, I would say that Harold is a man with a dark secret, he wants something, and at first I thought he wanted you out of this office, but now I think he’s after something bigger that you.”

“What?” Fallon questioned.

“I think he wants La Mirage, Lock, Stock, and Tennis courts.”

Colbyco - Caress's office

Caress stood at the window, reading a personal file when the buzzing of the intercom disturbed her. She walked to her desk and pressed the button to speak. “Yes Sarah?”

“Mr. Hopsen is here.” Her secretary announced.

“Thank you, send him in.” She replied, putting the file down and taking her seat behind the glass desk.

The door opened and Terry Hopsen, Alexis’s secretary entered the office. “Good morning, mam.” He greeted her politely with a nod. “You wanted to see me?”

“That’s right. Please have a seat.” She motioned for him to sit down. Terry followed her request.

“Mrs. Colby will be back at the office tomorrow.” The young man said, without being asked.

Caress leaned back in her chair and looked at him, attempting to make him feel uncomfortable by remaining silent for a long moment. Finally she spoke. “Thank you for informing me.” Obviously his boss’s return was not the reason why she had asked him to come to her office, Terry thought.

“How long have you been working for ColbyCo, Mr. Hopson?” She asked, knowing the answer already from the personal file. “Three months, mam.” He replied.

“I guess working for Alexis Colby is no picnic?” Caress asked.

He looked nervously at the woman, who was no one less than the chief executive with ColbyCo, wondering if his loyalty was tested here. “It’s a ... challenge and a honor, Ms. Morel.” He answered, not fully aware of the rift between Alexis Colby and Caress Morel, even though he had heard rumors about it.
Caress let out a laugh. “It’s surely a honor.” She agreed with him, the sarcasm in her words being obvious.
Terry’s nervous look increased as Caress leaned forward, looking him square in the eye. “Do you see your future with ColbyCo, Mr. Hopson?”

“Yes mam.”

“That’s good.” Caress said with a pleased tone of voice. “We need smart and ambitious young employees like you.”

He blushed. “Thank you. I hope I’ll cope with your expectations.”

Caress smiled. “I have no doubt that you will.” She assured him, knowing that she had him exactly where she wanted him.

“Mr. Hopson, ColbyCo is one of the leading companies in this industry and it’s my task to ensure that we stay on top. That includes the necessity to have control about all and everything. It’s my duty to keep harm away from ColbyCo.” Caress stated.

The young man looked confused, wondering what she actually wanted from him. Caress decided to cut to the chase. “My sister’s dubious business practices are no secret. Please don’t get me wrong, she has a great business sense, but the way she’s handling things could harm ColbyCo’s reputation. They have so in the past.” She paused for a moment, studying his facial expression. “I want to know about all activities, about deals and things she’s planning on making.” She continued sternly.

“I’m sorry, mam?” He was at a loss of words.

“Don’t you think the company deserves your loyalty? As Alexis Colby’s secretary you aren’t going to be here for very long. She’s famous for her consumption of secretaries. Don’t be a fool and destroy your future.”

Terry got the hint. He thought for a moment; Caress Morel seemed not to be a woman who took NO for an answer. He feared that if he wouldn’t agree to her request he would find himself in the streets. “All right.” He answered.

“That’s what I wanted to hear you say.”

Caress said pleased. Everything went right to plan. Now she had an inside source in Alexis’s office, that would provide her with information about everything Alexis planned to get rid of her and get control over ColbyCo back.

Trans Global Flight 119 form Paris, France

Jeff sat slumped in his seat on the red eye flight back to the states. Amanda looked to her right out the window, neither one really knew what to do now since they found Monica, in Paris, and got the news about Sable.

Amanda turned to Jeff. “We’ll be home soon.”

Jeff put down his beer. “I know.”

“Well, don’t you think we should talk about this?”

“Talk about what, I can’t even think about it. It’s so unfair, so cruel. How can we tell Dex this after all he’s been through these past months?”

Amanda put her hand on Jeff’s “We already discussed this, we have to tell Dex. We agreed he must know.” She smiled. “Jeff it’s for the best. Monica agreed to bring Cameron to Denver as soon as Dex is back from Wyoming.”

“Oh, she won’t. Monica is not the same since Max died. She is changed, I’m telling you” Jeff said as he took another drink of his beer.

“Leave Monica to me, I’ll handle everything” she said. “And besides, you have more important things to deal with” she said, referring to Fallon. Things weren’t good between Fallon and Jeff when he left to Rome with Dex and Amanda.

Colorado Springs Medical Center- Dr. Rutherford’s office

Adam sat slightly sedated listening to Dr. Rutherford’s explanation as to the visions, and memories he was faced with.

“You see Adam; your mind was damaged when you lost your wife and gotten shot at the charity ball”

“For the hundredth time I’m not crazy Doctor. I saw everything as plain as day.”

“You saw only what your mind wanted you to. Your subconscious is helping you deal with your wife’s loss, by creating some drama for you to solve, and become a hero again, it’s a subliminal way of gaining your families trust again.”

“I am not making this up for anything. I saw what I saw, and if I can get out of here I can prove it. Dana is not in Montana, she’s in danger, and every moment you and my family keep me here may be the last moments of Dana’s life”

“Listen Adam – “

“No you listen, you are going to talk with your men and let me go out of here; do you hear me? I want out and I want it now!” Adam began to scream.

Doctor Rutherford noticed that Adam was beginning to become slightly irritated, so he pressed the panic button, and in minutes two guards entered the room to restrain Adam.

“I have to get out of here. I have to help Dana.” Adam said as they drug him back to his room. “Do you hear me I have to goooooooo…….” He shouted as the lead him away. Dr. Rutherford walked over to a wall with a lone door, and a mirror. He opened it and stepped into the room.

Krystle looked up crying, but Blake looked confused. “Doctor, what is it?”

“I’m afraid that my sessions with Adam are not working. He still refuses to believe that his images of Mrs. Warring are purely delusional”

“So what are you going to do?”

“Well for starter, we need Mrs. Warring to come here…”
