Basically an artificial race that was created by the evil genius Dr. Gero. The androids are a very powerful race that have infinte stamina. Also, their power levels cannot be detected making them very effective fighters. However, just about all the androids were programmed to kill Goku, and all were destroyed by the z fighters except 18 who marries Krillen, and 16 who had helped the z fighters before being killed by Cell.
