2. OLD BUSINESS. The meeting was called to order.

 

a.  The President read the Minutes.

 

b.  The next meeting will be held at 1300, 8 September 2000.

 

c.   Members in good standing will be the only members eligible to vote on items brought before "The House".

 

d.   The softball challenge (CPO vs. E6) which was to be held on 23 Jun 00 has been rescheduled to October.

 

e.   Food Bank – The Food Bank had a great turn-out last month. A POD note will be run to ask for volunteers to join us. Food Bank volunteers for 7 September are: ET1 Skym & 1 junior, YN1 High, AD1 Close, AD1 Fetsko, AMS1 Owens, AK1 Charbono, AT1 Spafford, AMS1 Owens, AK1 Baker, SK1 Dockery, SK1 Ramirez, YN1 Martin, and AS1 Williams.

3. NEW BUSINESS.

a.   Hail and Farewell- The Hail and Farewell will be a potluck at 1300, 8 September 2000. Names for plaques need to be given to AS1 Williams

b.   Master Chief Pittman visit. The CMC announced we will be losing the E-6 house. He has promised us another location. The new building will be decided on by the Executive Committee after touring the potential spaces. The CMC has also promised all of the materials needed to refurbish the new house. He will also to provide us with at least a six month notice before we have to move.

d.   Retirement Appreciation Day: : The following volunteers have agreed to volunteer for Retirement Appreciation Day, Saturday, October 21, 2000: AK1 Charbono, ET1 Cuellar, AS1 Williams, YN1 Bracewell, YN1 Martin, YN1 Bennett, SK1 Dockery, AD1 Fetsko, ET1 Skym, PO Frazier, ET1 Fletcher, AMS1 Owens, AT1 (ret.) Norcross and YN1 Bennett.

e.   . Nominations for Office: : Nominations for MAA –
AMS1 Owens, ET1 Kelly, AD1 Close.

Nominations for Treasurer –
HM1 Spafford , YN1 Bennett, AZ1 Herring.

Nominations closed at 1605. Elections will be held on 8 September 2000, which is the next meeting/Hail and Farewell/BBQ.

- The September Executive Committee will meet at 1300 on Wednesday, 30 August, (because of the Labor Day weekend) at "The House". Executive Committee meetings are open to anyone who wants to bring new ideas to the Association.
