Romeo’s Kiss Chapter three

Bran sighed heavily as he plopped down in a chair in his backyard; His newest best friend sitting next to him in a stretched out lawn chair. “Dude, what’s your problem?” Trevor asked him.

“Julie.” He said before leaning forward a rubbing his eyes.

“Yeah, she’s a nice chick, what about her?” He asked, clueless to their dispute over the past week.

“A nice chick? You mean a hell chick.”

            “What? Are you serious?”

“Yeah, she’s being a bitch to me. I mean, I thought the hole school knew we had been fighting since I got here.” Brian clued him in on how they had started out on a bad foot and now he just wanted to make it right with her and actually get to know her. Trevor just happened to know a lot about her since he had basically grown up going to school with her. He told her a lot about what Julie’s really like.

“You mean she’s a vegetarian?” Brian asked quizzically.

“Yeah. She says she just can’t stand to eat another animal, she feels guilty.” Trevor snickered. Brian thought about it for a minute and it really just seemed like a humane person being nice to other animals.

“Well how come she don’t like me. I mean, I didn’t do anything to her.”

“You just told me how you tripped her in the hall dude.”

“I didn’t trip her…we just kinda collided, and I didn’t even help her up, I was havin’ a bad day, okay! I mean it was my first day here.” Brian explained…

                                                The next day

“I can’t believe I had a dream about HIM.” Julie sneered as she explained her weird dream to Codi. The night before she hadn’t been able to sleep until about four in the morning and then she had a dream about Brian, in the dream they were just hanging out together, actually getting a long, until Brian kissed her and then she woke up. She didn’t even like him; it was weird. She shrugged it off for the moment and went to class.

They sat in Mr. Jones science class for forty minutes, Brian yawned constantly while he sat and numbly listened to Mr. Jones explain the law of gravity, he glanced over at Julie the hole while. She seemed interested in the class; Trevor had told him yesterday that she was into science, and sci-fi stuff. Science wasn’t one of Brian’s good points, he was more into math, while he also learned Julie hated math so obviously they were totally opposite from what he guessed.

Julie felt someone watching her and slightly turned her head, out of the corner of her eyes she saw Brian glance in her direction, he quickly looked away and she tried to go back to listening to the assignment Mr. Jones was giving them but thought back to the dream se had had the night before and found herself glancing nervously in Brian’s direction.

Codi made a few people laugh as she balanced a pencil in her eyebrow ring getting Mr. Jones attention. “Codi?” He asked. She quickly took the pencil from her eyebrow and sat up straight looking at Mr. Jones.

“Yes.” She said cracking a smile as a few people snickered. She soon got sent to the front of the class where Jones had a few chairs in front of the lab tables, he called it ‘the jail’ all the trouble makers where sent up there. She sat there for a little while before Trevor joined her for throwing spit wades at the ceiling. They sat next to each other and stared at the wall for a minute.

“Hey, you’re Julie’s best friend, right?” Trevor whispered over to her as he lightly elbowed her. She looked over at him, a little confused. She noticed the lip ring, similar to her eyebrow ring, and his short spiky hair with fire red tips. Her own hair was really long, dark blonde, with bright red at the bottom that faded up into blonde making it look like fire. She smiled a little and nodded her head.

“And your Brian’s friend, huh?” She asked, as she was catching on. They started talking a little to loud and got sent out into the hall where they devised a plan.

“Okay, are we ganna get them together or what?” Codi asked, waving her hand in the direction of the classroom as they sat on the floor out in the hall. Trevor shook his head with a mischievous smile.

            “Okay, here’s what we do…”
