Romeo’s
Kiss – chapter four
“Please Dude, c’mon, you have to go.” Trevor pleaded with Brian as
he followed him around his room; Brian tried to ignore him as he continued to
pick up the dirty clothes from his room. Trevor had been pleading with Brian for
the past thirty minutes about going to this club where Trevor’s band was
playing. He didn’t know what Trevor and Codi had been planning, and that Codi
and Julie were probably having the same conversation right at that moment.
“I just don’t know if I can or not I’ll see if I can. Okay?”
Brian reasoned with him. He chuckled at his friend’s goofy grin and walked out
of the room.

Codi and Julie walked threw the doorway and into the packed night club,
instantly they could smell thick smoke and hear the heavy metal band playing up
front. Julie looked to the left and could graffiti written all over one wall. On
the other side of the room was a bar stretching across one wall with several
people sitting around it. It one corner there was a few tables and booths that
was pretty much empty; everyone was up out of their seats dancing, or just
standing around. Codi lead her over to a table where Trevor was sitting.
Julie new Trevor, she had grown up with him, but she didn’t ever hang
out with him, and that seemed kind of strange that Codi and him set up to met
each other there. Trevor was in an alternative rock band called ‘the
natives’ and they were playing at that club.
They sat down at the small booth in the corner and sat, talking for a few
minutes before Trevor had to go and start setting up on the stage.
Julie watched Codi as she waved to someone out in the crowd. Soon Brian
appeared in front of them. Julie looked over to Codi questionably, Codi just
smiling and motioned for Brian to sit next to Julie in the booth. Julie shook
her head and got up from her seat, she walked off into the crowd, she looked
back at Codi disapprovingly, knowing what she was trying to do and kept walking
through the sea of people.

“Look,
I swear I didn’t know she’d be there.” Trevor confined as he threw up his
hands in innocence. Brian flipped threw channels on the TV as he held up the
phone with shoulder, he slumped onto the couch.
“Liar”
Brian muttered and sighed heavily. Pled in his pajamas, which consisted of
boxers and a T-shirt, he popped open the top of his Mt. dew can and wiped the
excess soda off his and. “Well, as soon as she seen me she left anyway. She
wont even give me a chance.”
“So,
why are you so determine to make it right anyway? Do you like her
somethin’?” Trevor asked, trying to get some secrets out of his quiet
friend.
“No,
Naw I don’t LIKE her or anything, I just…I just don’t like when someone is
mad at me, or doesn’t like me. It bothers me to know that she despises me,
okay?” Brian snapped at the questioned. He wasn’t sure where that came from
but it sounded like a good excuse. Trevor left him alone about it after that but
then brought up the idea of calling her up and seeing if she wanted to rehears
her lines with him, seeing how then had to memorize every word of the play in a
week’s time. Brian knew she wouldn’t but thought maybe he could plead enough
to convince her, or at least have a moment to talk to her.
