Session 2: Introduction to Emergent Themes

In this session the areas of collective action covered by the course will be introduced, namely:

Cyber-Unionism: Trade union use and misuse of the Internet.

Corporate Activism: Collective action against the large multi-national corporations using new ICTs.

Eco-Activism: Environmental campaigning and collective action on the net.

While these areas are distinct, we believe there are core themes to discuss with regard to the potential offered by new ICTs:
