Exhibit C
Time and Space Issues
The site claims that it has over 41,000 hits since June 2000. The site has a discussion page, where each week a new topic is open for discussion. Yet, the site also invites opinion on any area of concern that visitors may wish to raise. I think that this site is particularly important, not because of its technical specifications, as these are pretty rudimentary, but because the claimed number of hits might dispel the claim that internet unionism is the preserve of white collar technical workers. Perhaps more important still is the apparent demonstration of the natural fit between a highly distributed communicative form and a widely dispersed union membership.
