Crush On Econoline Crush

Thoughts of a band worth thinking about

A band with an edge, a different twist in a stereotypical music genre. In other words, a breath of fresh air for the music lover. Econoline Crush isn't any ordinary band. Inside and out, they seem to bring on a whole new musical style, and a blueprint for bands to come. Forget the grungy drugged out look of so many successful bands today. EC knows how to present themselves, and can actually answer interviewers questions without the blank stares and empty sentences everyone is so familiar with. And their singer actually knows how to sing. I don't mean the indistinct mumblings of a hoarse sounding frontman. I mean real vocal ability - there is a difference. The music; a collection of mean chords, pounding beats, and the addition of a synthesizer makes for a unique effect. Musical category almost unclassifiable, this draws in more listeners than could otherwise be achieved. Trevor Hurst's voice is the emotional echo of personal affairs - life in general, soaring over what could only be called the perfect blend of music, adding to the enchantment of it all. EC's music videos aren't of any certain subject, which is a great idea as we have all experienced the disappointment of visualizing what we hear one way, only to see the visual result as a totally different, and often badly done interpretation. Their live shows are nothing short of awesome. High energy, effort, and entertainment, with personal touch. A respectable bunch of guys, never passing up the opportunity to talk to a fan they might just happen to cross paths with. Econoline Crush is definately a band worth listening to. To the guys of this remarkable band; don't ever change!
