How I Came To Love Econoline Crush
It all started when I first heard they were opening up for Tonic on the May 26th, 1998 concert. I had no idea who EC was, so I decided to check out one of their webpages. When I heard they were industrial I was impressed cuz Im a huge Stabbing Westward fan, I knew they would be good. They were the first band to play, and my boyfriend and I were totally blown away by their sound. My boyfriend was particularly impressed with Trevors vocal ability. I immedietly told my bf I had to pick up the cd that night. He picked it up while they were still playing, and after their performance this girl and I decided since we heard Trevor was hanging out in the lobby, we would go talk to him. So we ditched Athenaeum (we caught most of their show) and walked to the lobby where, sure enough, Trevor was hanging out with this other guy (I have no idea who he was) no one else was there so talking to him was easy. I was so excited I couldnt get the wrapper off my cd and the guy he was talking to had to do it for me. Trevor was just so nice and personalized my cd, I thought that was sweet of him. I didnt want to leave and that girl had to pull me away. we hung out after the whole show was done and found Nico and Thom out in the alley. So they signed my cd too. I talked to Nico for quite awhile then we left. Unfortunately I never got to meet Ziggy. The only time I talked to Robbie was during the KISS concert 12/12/98 when they made him hand out stickers after the performance. He looked like he was bored/tired but he did acknowledge the fact that I was wearing an EC shirt. Their road manager told me before the show he could get me to talk to Trevor but that never happened =( Ive been a fan ever since, and Im still waiting for the next time to see them. Sorry this is so long but I always have lots to talk about when it has to do with EC :)
