Bringing the market up, by bringing the cost down has been the
manufacturers major aim thruout the history.
So far I donīt know any system cheap enough, to compete with other energy
sources solely on an economic base.
Cheap enough, means investment money back in less than five years, and
earning money for the rest of the solar system lifetime (about 25 years).
Presently, money back is estimated ten to fifteen years depending on the
installation cost. This makes the market cold as ice.
The revenue has been almost doubled in most of our installations,
due to small adjustments at the house heating systems. Sad to say, people
donīt realise that as we canīt grant it in the ads.
But, we need to make the earning better fast.
To do that, we need to bring the cost down, and that is close to pray for a
miracle.
In my opinion there will be no final solution to energy supply ever.
As the earth population is rapidly galloping, solar collectors and
photovoltaic solar cells will play a significant role in the future.
If you compere solar collectors to windows, the three glass window is
more expensive, and yet it has all the advantages of high demand, less raw
material, less assemble time and so on.
To mount something on the roof, and calculate it will work for 30 years,
makes the choice of material very narrow, due to the attacs of the humidity
in the air, sulfur acid, ultraviolet radiation, snow pressure and wind
attacs. On top of it small boys playing football (soccer), as they randomly
hit precious items nearby.
I know, as I have been manufacturing solar systems for eight years now.
But, I think it is possible to solve all the tricky equations put forward,
by using all gathered experience and merged brains of our all.
I think I have the big view, but not yet the details.
Everyone who has the knowledge of solar systems, will know, it is always
balancing between advantages and disadvantages, when choosing material and
technology, and that is the reason I beleive going ahead planning and
designing takes more than one person.
