Armageddon is yet another story about an asteriod (as large as Texas) headed for earth. This time, NASA decides to send two shuttles to the asteriod, land on it, drill a hole 800 feet deep in it to put in a nuclear bomb that will split the asteriod in two and cause it to miss earth. (Whew!!)

The man chosen to lead the team is Harry Stamper (Bruce Willis). The only way he'll go, is if he can choose his own team, and he does. The men chosen by him and daughter, Grace (Liv Tyler), are: Oscar, Max, Bear, Rockhound, Chick, Freddy Noonan, and A.J. Frost (Ben Affleck), Grace's boyfriend. NASA has to train these men in twelve days. Also accomping the team to fly the shuttles, are six astronauts. The only names I know are Sharpe and Watts (Jessica Steen).

The day before take-off, A.J. (who, by the way, always has serious conflicts with Harry) and Grace get engaged. Also, Grace and her father, who have thier own share of problems, make peace when Grace makes him promise to come home, and, if it's not too much trouble, to bring home her finance, too.

Once they leave, the teams experience serious setbacks and it's hard to say whether they can the job done or not. Watching this movie is like sitting on pins and needles, as they say. It is very suspenceful and made me cry!! (I never expected that to happen!) You have definatly got to see this movie!
