("Fuel" by Metallica comes over the speakers)We are back, folks, as we see Nick Duncan headed towards ringside, fans, TR Parker has been taken to a local hospital, apparently the arm of TR Parker, which Ronnie Frown had worked over, was targeted some more by the assault of the C of A. We will have more word for all of you as we find out more about the situation. ///--------------------------\\\ ///////// __ _ \\\\\\\\\ ||| /__\ ___| |_ _ __ ___ ||| | / \/// _ \ __| '__/ _ \ | | / _ \ __/ |_| | | (_) | | ||| \/ \_/\___|\__|_| \___/ ||| x\\\\\\\\\ /////////x x \\\--------------------------/// x x x x x x A few weeks ago, the Power Supply x x *splintered* when Nick Duncan and Death Machine x x Crimson beat down Curtis Stone after a match. x x Now many thought that DMC was actually Jon x x Owens, who was DMC in his days in Japan... x x x x x x x x x x ...but *THAT* was proven wrong later in the x x night, when Jon Owens would prevent Nick Duncan x x from making it to his TV Title shot against Dr. x x Destructo by attacking him in the back. x x x x x x x x ///--------------------------\\\ x x///////// _ _ _ \\\\\\\\\x ||| /_\ ___| |_(_) ___ _ __ ||| | //_\\ / __| __| |/ _ \| '_ \ | | / _ \ (__| |_| | (_) | | | | | ||| \_/ \_/\___|\__|_|\___/|_| |_| ||| \\\\\\\\\ ///////// \\\--------------------------/// ("El Phantasmo" by White Zombie plays - and the fans actually pop) Which brings us to this match, as we see Jon Owens approach the ring along with fellow North American tag team champion Curtis Stone, and Stone actually trying to get the crowd to cheer for his partner in what's left now of the Power Supply! Well, I think it's a gol-dang shame that these boys cain't quite git along no more. All because that thar Stone boy was havin' himself a li'l self-esteem problem. An' now it's spilled over to his former partners an' ever-body's choosin' up sides. Curtis now on the ring apron, trying to get Nick Duncan to listen to reason..and Duncan shoves him HARD off of the ring apron! Heck, yew might as well fergit 'bout talkin' ta that Duncan boy. He's wired up on all that dang coffee, he's loaded on caffeine, an' he's in thar ta dew just one thang - an' that's fight! Owens taking the opportunity to lay some forearms into Nick Duncan as referee Ray Chapman calls for the bell, Owens now sending Duncan for the ride, and EFFORTLESSLY pulls him up into a fireman's carry..and BRINGS HIM OVER for the ribbreaker. Duncan's a big man at 260, 270, but Owens is pushing the 300 mark for sure. Both men big, both 'bout equally strong, this is gonna be a tough one a per-dict. Jon-boy's got the edge in experience, though. Owens now getting Duncan into an abdominal stretch, and is punishing him with forearms across the chest while the stretch is in place. You're going to find a very physical contest here, both men are the masters of several different kinds of suplexes. Well, we'll see just how long this match stays a wrasslin' match. When thar be the kind of bad blood flowin' here, yew'll find it breakin' down into a good ol'-fashioned slugfest sooner or later. Duncan gets out of the stretch with a hiptoss, and now Duncan goes for the quick elbow, but Owens rolls out of the way...Owens runs his knee into the face of Duncan, and now Owens locks on a front chancery facelock around Duncan, using his weight to keep pressure on the neck and back of Duncan...and Owens just bulled Duncan straight down, getting him off his feet, but still holding that front facelock. Jon-boy a li'l bit bigger an' usin' that extra force to his 'vantage right thar. Duncan working his way to his knees, then his feet...he slides out of the facelock, and Duncan returns the pain with a bearhug...THAT'S a move you don't see much of anymore! An' it's a gol-dang shame, too! I remember way back when wrasslers used ta git a submission outta that thar hold. Now ever-one's pickin' up these new- fangled moves with all them Japanese names, an' they all be fergittin' how well the basics still work. Owens trying to work his arms between Duncan's to break it, but Duncan has the arms tight around the abdomen...finally Owens gets in there and breaks the bearhug, and follows up with a knee to the solarplexus...GUTWRENCH SUPLEX by Owens, and let the dropping on the heads begin. Awright, this is what I came ta see! Owens going for another abstretch, this time rolls it back into a *whump* cradle *whump* there's two...no dice, Duncan rolls out of it. Both men up... OOH, Duncan just PLASTERED Owens with a charging forearm, and now Duncan laying in the forearms across the head and back of Jon Owens. Duncan gettin' a lotta force behind them blows, keepin' Jon-boy on his knees. An' yew cain't fight too well when yer kneelin'. Duncan gets the 300 pounder in a bodyslam, and now a big elbowdrop on Owens, and a cover, but can only get a one count on the big man. Duncan now just stomping away on the back and neck of Jon Owens Obviouisly softenin' him up fer that "Chain Reaction" of his, which drops 'him not once, not twice, but THREE times on his neck an' shoulders. Duncan picks him up, backbreaker across the knee, and now he's just holding him there, Jack, this is a submission move! Dang, thar's another hold I ain't seen in ages! Last time I saw that thar backbreaker stretch, it was almost ten years ago...and it was the Magnificent Mimi who used it! Duncan still straining on both sides of him, trying to get Owens to tap out, I don't think this is going to do it...finally Duncan shoves him off his knee, and then drops a knee right into the back of Owens. This is the hallmark of "Nuclear" Nick's attack - no wasted motion. Nick-boy makin' it clear he wants ta take out the back of Jon-boy. He started with the bear hug, then the backbreaker, an' now beatin' the back into a pulp. Duncan has Owens legs now, boston crab submission move, Duncan is slowly trying to wear down Owens here...but I think Owens is getting another head of steam, he's struggling...look at this, PUSHUP by Owens, and he just sent Nick flying into the turnbuckles!!! What power on the part of Jon Owens! Waitaminute.. Death Machine Crimson has just shown up on the rampway! I'll admit that was a nice show of strength ta power outta that thar Crab, but now we got ourselves an equalizer just waitin' fer an excuse ta bust someone's head open. Stone going to the foot of the ramp to intercept, but DMC seems interested in Jon Owens - folks, BOTH DMC and Jon Owens are here at the same time, this PROVES that they're not the same person. I dunno who that Death Machine Boy is, but I do know he's got a beef with Jon-boy about somethin', and he's could very well take it out right here an' right now! Meanwhile, Duncan sneaks in behind Owens, and a HARD snap belly to back suplex drives Owens backfirst into the canvas, and now DMC is leaving, apparently he's served his purpose here, and Duncan with a COVER!!! ONE, TWO, THR..ALMOST three, but Owens powers out at the last second. He served his purpose all right - he made it clear that he's here an' ready ta jump inta the fray if Jon-boy or Stone gits any ideas. Duncan now has Owens set up, piledriver coming up..BAM, right on the head. And another cover....one...two...thr...ALMOST!!!!! But Owens is on the ropes here, and Duncan signaling for the Chain Reaction! Stone-boy trying ta git the fans cheerin' fer Jon-boy, but he's been on the receivin' end almost all match. An' Ol' Nick goin' fer the end-all right here. He's got the underhook for the suplex..there's one....there's two... OWENS SLIPS OUT, FULL NELSON... DRAGON SUPLEX ONCE...TWICE.... THREE TIMES!!! INCREDIBLE reversal by Jon Owens Incredible painful-lookin' reversal! Jon-boy thinkin' turnabout is fair play decided ta give Ol' Nick a dose of his own medicine. Both men are down, that took a lot of steam out of them, and they're slowly crawling to their feet right now, who's going to get there first? It looks like Duncan is there...he charges with a clothesline, Owens ducks... Owens from behind with an atomic drop, firing Duncan into the turnbuckle.. Duncan bounces out RIGHT INTO A RELEASED GERMAN SUPLEX FROM OWENS!!!!! Jon-boy now doin' some throwin' of his own, but he's clutchin' his back as he's a-gittin' up. Ya gotta think ev'ry power move he's doin' now ain't without a bit of pain. Stone trying his hardest to get the crowd behind this one, Owens grabs Duncan, goes for the ride...Duncan reverses into a short arm kneesmash, and converts it into...double underhook DDT!!!! He covers one....two....three!!! Duncan manages to pull this one out, but he also decides not to stick around to get his hand raised! An' I don't blame 'him. It's two on one out thar with Stoney in Jon- boy's corner, so it's a smart move ta git outta thar, leave 'em lickin' their wounds, and take home braggin' rights fer round one. Well, this may be the first salvo of battle, but so far, Ground Zero 2000, as they call themselves, is getting the best of the Power Supply. Fans, I'm told we have Damien Omega on standby, where he's got some words for his opponent later tonight, Ronnie Frown! @@@@@@@@@@@@@@ *********************************** @ Camera Cut @************************************* @@@@@@@@@@@@@@ {Cut to the locker room, and Damien Omega, sitting silently, head bowed, on a bench.} [Omega] It's sorta strange. You go for awhile with the expectations of defending a title, and when you lose it, things aren't the same. I could make excuses about this or that reason why I lost the match, but the bottom line is that I lost it. Congratulations to Steve Mauritz on his victory. You're the new North American champion. Just know that I WILL be back, and I WILL get back that title. Frown, this doesn't bode well for you. Now I don't have a title to worry about, I don't have to worry about going to the Gauntlet, or any of that stuff. Now all I have to worry about is beating you, and stopping you from having a easy shot at the World Title. Frown, I may be able to be pinned, Steve Mauritz may be able to keep me down for a 3 count, but you won't be able to keep me down for a 10. Your perfect record ends ... tonight.
