Now that you have the valve cover clipped onto the spare head, let it dry. What this does is allows the gasket and sealer dry to the perfectly flat surface of a VW head. You wouldnt be able to get it to seal if you just applied sealer and pushed it down with your hand. This way, you know it's going to be perfect. |

The last step in the process before installation, is to remove the dried valve cover from the head and trim away any sealant that is holding on the new valve cover gasket. Once this is done, pop it on your engine (make sure your head is clean on the engine) and off you go. no more leaks. |
