We are so proud and excited to have this little girl here at EagleRock. But don't let that sweet, innocent face fool you. She is certainly a fireball with a sparkling personality and tons of attitude and enthusiasm for what life has to offer. DeeDee has made herself right at home and seems to have the routine around the house down pat. She fits in beautifully with the older dogs (they say she's a little bossy though) and I can't say enough on how quickly she catches on to everything! Her temperament is wonderful and she's enjoying life being a very spoiled and well loved member of the EagleRock family! We traveled to the 2006 Canadian National Specialty Show in Toronto, Ontario in mid-September; this was my first Canadian National and DeeDee made it a very memorable one for me! With this being her first show, her first plane ride and just having turned 6 months old, I wasn't sure what to expect but DeeDee showed me she's a chip off the old block and gaited her way to 2nd place in a quality filled 6-9 Puppy Bitch class. I was thrilled to see her spectacular movement in the 'big ring' and even more excited when she was in 1st place the entire time until the very last lap. Looking back, I think being the youngest in the entire class and having all these new adventures to experience at one time was alot to ask from a youngster; she started to tire at the very end but I am very excited for what the future holds for this little girl! DeeDee has just been taking life easy over the winter and doing what most puppies do - alot of growing and maturing! However the spring shows are just around the corner so very soon she will begin her training and conditioning to get ready to make her debut as a big girl in the classes. Many thanks go to Sue & Royal Sefton of DeVries Canines for breeding such a beautiful puppy and to Calvin and Hallie for making it all possible. And to the |
