Skiing - Lake Tahoe

March 23-30, 2003

Large house rented near Alpine Meadows Resort at Lake Tahoe. Steve Whipple is coordinating.

Sailing in the Greek Islands September 2003 We'll rent one or more 60+ sailboats and sail the Greek Islands! We are targeting the Cyclades group of islands, which includes Mykonos, Ios, Santorini, Paros, and Naxos. We will use GPSC charters, one of the largest and best known charter companies, and hire a skipper. Cost will be around $1500 per person and the duration will be about 10 days to give us at least 7 full days of sailing. This will be an awesome trip. Email me for more details.

Go hiking with Sherpa guides in the Himalayas. This will be a two week high-altitude hiking adventure. No special climbing skills required, but you should be in decent shape as we would be hiking at altitudes approaching 18,000 ft. Click here for more information.

Castle in Scotland

Stay in a real castle in the Scottish highlands. There are a number of castles available. One in particular is called Lachlan, on the shore of Loch Fyne. This central location would be ideal for biking through the highlands, hiking, sailing, golf, exploring other cities such as Inverness or Edinburgh.

Sea kayaking - Maine

Omaha, Nebraska

Spend a fun filled week eating 64 oz steaks, shooting tin cans, attending Wives Club luncheons, seeing movies at the local drive in, playing BINGO, and going to country&western karaoke night.

Hiking and biking in Moab, rafting on the Colorado River, followed by rest and relaxation on a houseboat on Lake Powell.

African Safari TBD This would be a two week trip to South Africa, with extensive excursions into the national parks and wildlife preserves. I'll get help from the VanMeters on planning this one.
