Having considered the titles Ellie gave you, you think that maybe you're in the mood for poetry today, rather than stories, so you open the notebook. Ellie grins and says,
"Yup, his poems are better than my stuff anyway. I'll leave you to it."
And she goes and sits on the sofa, and picks up the book that's lying there. You turn your attention to the notebook in your hand.
Go back to the living room.Mr Feldeghast, Mr Feldeghast, what is love? Love is a moment, an instant in time; A view to the future and you like what's there; Purposeful recklessness where you just don't care. Your life up till now seems simply a mime; This is real and leaves you flying above.
Mr Feldeghast, Mr Feldeghast what happens then? The moment is over, the feeling has passed. All that is left is an empty echo, quickly fading; Gone are the emotions through which you were wading; Stowed away with the others slowly amassed; Changing your sould from all other men.Back to the top
Close your eyes, Breathe out, Breathe in, Float upon a sea of calm, Prepare to dream. Search your soul, Don't lie to yourself, Find who you are, Clear your conscience, Prepare to die.Back to the top
I go through life scene by scene, Each one with a different mask, a different me; Responding only to what people want to see, Being the person they want me to be, When all I want is to be free. So many faces I've lost who I am, Please help me. I'm a coward, I know, But I don't care where I go, So. Death beckons but I'm too slow; Morning has come and the moment has passed, Company dissapates gloomy thoughts amassed. So I stride out, smile on my face again, I'm one once more with my fellow men. Please help me.Back to the top
I danced the dream that runs in my head A thousand mirrors gleamed in the dark A serpent hissed from depths beyond A pretty hand stretched before me But I'm still dead. I smile at the man who speaks to me He smiled at me and the world ended He laughed at me and I went to Hell He frowned at me and I woke up smiling But I'm still dying. I will fly all night in the blood-red sky It calls to me and I fall from grace It reaches me and I lose the race It leaves me and I dance to its tune But I will still die. I have died so I will live Will the red man call my name Will the dancers dance to my tune Will the stars still shine on my world But am I still alive?Back to the top
