Chapter 1 "Let me breathe Let me breathe I can't even think right now Something's got me feeling guilty Hurt you slowly but so surely I don't know why, love you so much I can't feel because I'm lost Not too much mad as no more Is it you, is it me, is it us or is it trust? Or is it trust?"-Adema (Matt's POV) The two lovebirds are at it again. I'm lying here, staring up at the ceiling while my brother, Jeff cries, "Fuck me!" It's like this every time either during the Pay-Per-Views when both of the Raw and Smackdown brand meet up or more importantly, to them anyway, the holidays. Just so happens, we get a ten-day break this season and guess what? I'm stuck listening to Jeff and Shannon while Shane is out somewhere on his own. Shane can't stand just sitting around listening to the two so he needs to get up and out. Like me, sorta. I honestly love the break but I'd rather it be over so we can get back to our job. My life. Yeah, I guess you could say that I bring the job home with me or it could be vice versa. I'm not sure anymore. Jeff could give two figs about wrestling anymore. He has other "Priorities" in his life. Like his landscaping, his music, his Shannon. It's all his! I don't sound bitter or jealous do I? Well, if I do, there's most likely a reason for it. I was the one who he'd come to even before Shan had come into his life to "Help out". I'd come to Jeff on occasion. I was the one to take Jeff's innocence away from him. He took mine when he'd been at the brink of puberty. Wrong, yes, considering first off, we're brothers and second of all he'd only been thirteen. I don't think I'm angry with him, Jeff that is. Just... protective, hurt, possessive? I don't know how I feel. That's why I've decided to put my energy into wrestling and to keep my mind off of Jeff. It's better than to do what I'm doing right now. This is a rare moment since I never usually let these thoughts come out to play in the daylight. I save them for when I share a bed alone. *** Matt was tired of listening to the bed next door banging against his room wall and sick of listening to Jeff and Shannon yelling like banshee's. He had to get out and do something. He got up off of the bed and turn towards the wall. He scowled at it for a second and then began to pound on the wall. "Hey! Give it a rest! You’re going to pound the wall in with that bed!" He yelled through the wall. The bass sound of the wall stopped for a minute and Matt prayed to God one of them had passed out. He groaned when he heard the sound of male giggling coming from the other end. And then the pounding that started to bring out a migraine for Matt started up again. He rubbed his temples as he walked out of the room and down the hall, passing their room and taking a second to glance in. They didn't even have the courtesy shut the door and Matt saw Jeff cuffed to the posts of the bed and Shannon hovering over him with an expression of pure pleasure. His body started to betray him as he felt himself start to harden in his loose jeans. He moved away from the room and down the stairs the house he was putting finishing touches on. Jeff and Shannon had already christened one of the guest beds. They'd have all of them by the end of this little holiday, Matt was sure of that. He went down to search through the fridge for something that would push down his desire. "No bananas. Thank God." He muttered. He came out with a plate of two day-old fried chicken. Still food. He shrugged and looked around the kitchen as he leaned his back against the counter while he waited for the Microwave to nuke the hell out of the chicken. He could still hear the steady booming coming from up stairs. ‘Why the hell did they come over if just to screw their brains out?’ Matt asked himself and then answered his own question. New setting. He started to glare at nothing particularly while he stewed on the actions going on upstairs and didn't even notice the pounding stop. It was still booming in his head, or at least his headache was. Before he knew it, Jeff was leaning against the open doorway studying his brooding brother. Jeff had tossed on a tattered tarry robe he found hanging in the bathroom and left Shannon to fall face first into the bed and into a blissful sleep. Jeff looked up as the microwave went off and took a whiff of chicken. "Matt? Anyone in there?" He asked as he walked up and placed a hand on Matt's shoulder. Matt jumped with a start and clutched at his heart. "Jesus Jeff, you scared the livin' shit out of me." Matt scowled at his brother who seemed to be amused with it. He wrinkled his nose and turned away from him as he got out his dish and quickly dropped it down on the counter. He waved his fingers in the air to cool them down and then turned back towards his brother. "How could I have scared you? Or didn' you hear the booming' stop?" Jeff said as he snuck past his brother and took a chicken leg from the plate. He danced back past and sat down in a lawn chair that was being used as a dining chair. He took a bite of the leg before Matt could snatch it back. Matt cocked an eyebrow, wondering where Jeff's lover was. "Where's Romeo?" Jeff gave a sly smile. "Recuperating, what else?" Matt went back to the fridge and pulled out a can of coke, tossing it to Jeff and then grabbing his own. He popped it open and took a swig. Jeff was messing around with the belt looped around his waist and chowing down with his other hand. "What were you thinking about?" Jeff asked through a mouthful of chicken. "The scary thing is, I understood that. When?" “While you where burning a hole into the wall and nearly managed to do so." "Nothin' important to you." Now Jeff was the one to raise a brow and tossed the bone into the trash can near the fridge. "Nothin' important to me, huh? Something to do with Mattmatics?" "I'm always thinkin' about Mattmatics, Matt facts and how you’re scared to death of Mattitude." Matt smiled and Jeff made a face. "Oh yeah? Well, you're afraid to X-pand your imagi-nation." Jeff said as he slowly waved his hands around his head and then ducked a flying chicken bone. He looked back when he heard Shannon. "Hey, next time flying food comes at me, I'm gonna end up giving you something other than an adjustment, bud." Shannon said as he came up behind Jeff and wrapped his arms around Jeff's shoulders. He leaned down and kissed Jeff's cheek before sitting down in similar chair to Jeff. He reached over and tossed the bone into the trash. Matt rolled his eyes towards the couple. Jeff was starting to absorb himself with Shannon again, leaving Matt to stand there with a half a plate of chicken and a can of coke. Matt held back a groan of frustration and walked out of the kitchen after putting his plate back into the fridge. "Get a room," he muttered on his way out. He grabbed his coat and started for the front door to see if anything was happening elsewhere. Chapter 2 (Matt Dream Sequence) I wake up from the sheets tugging at my midsection and grumble a protest. As I turn over to see who wants an execution without trial for getting me up at...what time is it anyway? 2:00 A.M. pops in my head and I blink my eyes a few times, letting them focus in the darkness of the night. I glance over at the glaring red digits on the clock. Hot damn! I was right. I start to wake up from my peaceful sleep more and quickly shift my entire body around, accidentally elbowing the culprit in the jaw. I hear a groan that would be similar to mine. Jeff? I didn't know that I spoke his name aloud and was surprised to have my answer. Jeez Matty, if you didn't want a bedmate you coulda said something. Anything would've been better than an elbow for breakfast." I strain in the darkness and find all his features when a sudden pale light comes into the window. He moves a little closer to me, letting me know he's not here to crash for the night when his erection brushes against my thigh. My brain overcomes my sudden urge to jump him and I instead move away from him. He only moves closer to me, smiling and then reaches out and places his hand on my cheek. Suddenly, bright yellow words scrawl through my mind. Where's Shannon? I bring my hand up deciding whether to shove it off or stoke it and move down his arm. Mind over pleasure, AGAIN. I push it away and he slides it under the blue quilt and sheets to squeeze my hip. "W...where's Shannon?" I blurt out and look cautiously at the man across from me. "He went with mama. Said they needed to talk." What? Either I have a hearing problem or he's lost his mind. Maybe both. To my surprise, I nod approvingly and my mind goes at ease. I just realized that I too was naked. I don't sleep in the nude so did he...? All thoughts cease as he leans over and attacks my mouth hungrily. Our teeth, tongues, and breaths all clash together in this passion-filled kiss until he pulls away from me. He sits up on one elbow, inching the sheets down my body and stopping every few seconds to kiss where he had just pulled at. Finally, I'm bare to him and start to feel as if I'm on fire. He looks down at me, lingering on my chest and lively cock. He smiles as he looks up at me and runs a fingertip down the length of me. "Your beautiful, Matty," he whispers as he lowers his mouth down and closes his lips over my nipple. He closes his palm around my cock and starts to slowly pump me as he licks a trail down my stomach. He moves back a few inches from me and blows on the wetness around my navel. I moan as I snarl my fingers in his hair and buck my hips up into his hand. He nearly purrs to me as he moves around and nudges my legs apart. I lift my hips up at him wantonly and he slides his hands under my backside, cupping my ass as he lowers himself down. He starts to mumble something over and over but I can't make it out. I worry at my lip and close my eyes, jerking up at him, begging him to close over my cock. I look down at him, my vision slightly blurred. I grunt and he looks up at me smiling. My eyes widen, as the knotted hair in my hands is now streaks of blond and black and long. The eyes that were of Jeff's now are of Shannon's! "Matt, wake the fuck up!" he says and closes his lips over my cock. *** Matt shot up right in his bed and nearly screamed but his mouth was covered by Jeff's hand. Matt looked around and blinked at the lamplight next to him. He pushed Jeff's hand away and turned to him, finding Jeff in a pair of black starter pants and nothing else. Matt now felt very aware of his cock pushing against the thin fabric of his boxers and leaned down, resting his forehead in his hands. Jeff sat on one corner of the bed and looked at Matt. Jeff had been sneaking past Matt's room with a few essentials when Matt started to moan and grunt. He had to hide the bags behind the door because he knew Matt would have a fit if he ate anything upstairs. "Matt, you ok?" Matt nodded, not able to look at his brother straight in the eye. "You sure? You were moaning and tossing around like something was gonna eat you." "I'm fine." Matt said through his teeth, wishing he would just leave him alone so he could do something about his hard-on. Instead of having the wish granted, Jeff went the other way around. He moved up closer to Matt and tilted his chin up so Matt could look at him. He looked around in his eyes for a second and decided he wasn't going to get anything out of him tonight. He nodded and then got up off the bed. Jeff turned off the light and Matt laid down on the pillows glad that his cock had soften a little. Jeff turned and leaned down to kiss Matt on the forehead. "'Night, then bro. I'm next door with Shan just in case." Matt groaned inwardly as Jeff left him with the feel of his lips, on his forehead at least. "'Night." He bit his lip and sighed when the thought of those lips other places snuck up from behind. Shit, he was fully hard and dripping again. He pulled the covers away for a second and got up to lock his door. He turned around and leaned against the door and decided to peel off his boxers. He tossed them into a pile of clothing on the floor and slide under the covers, pulling them over most of his stomach and some of his chest. "Fuck it, I'm awake anyway." He slid his hands down his sides slowly, imagining his hands were that of his brothers. He slowly started to stroke the length of his cock as he sighed and knew he wasn't going to sleep the rest of the night with what the dream conjured up. Chapter 3 Matt woke with a start and vague images of his dream. He managed to get two hours, but then again, he was use to that so it didn't make much of a difference to him. He looked around and blinked as sunlight shone through the partially covered window. He felt a little chilly and remembered that he fell asleep nude. He thought about going back to sleep but instead grumbled as he dragged himself out of the bed and grab a new pair of navy blue boxers. He rubbed his eyes as he padded out of the room and down the hall. As he came closer to the flight of stairs, he could hear bits and pieces of a conversation traveling up to him but couldn't make out the voices just yet. When he stepped into the doorframe and yawned, he saw Amy sitting at the table with Jeff and Trish. He grunted as a greeting and headed for the fridge, pulling out a carton of milk and drank some of it down straight from the carton. Amy smiled and tilted her head to the side. "Hey Matt, I just realized you have a nice ass. Almost as nice as Trish's or Stacy's." Trish wrinkled her nose and stuck her tongue out at Amy. Matt turned around and leaned against the door, putting on a grin like an idiot. "Thanks Miss Oblivious, I use that video, 'Buns of Steel,' maybe I'll let you borrow it sometime. You look like you need it" "Hardy har har. Maybe you should be a comedian, Mattitude boy." "It's Mr. Mattitude boy to you." Matt sat down a noticed that Jeff was staring at him. Matt started to feel anxious now and looked back at Jeff. "What?" he asked obviously annoyed by the attention. Jeff smiled a little and then shrugged, turning back towards Trish and Amy, which irked him even more. *** Matt hid his sulking pretty well for about an hour and then managed to put on something as Trish and Amy departed, Jeff waving them off. As he turned away from the door, he saw Matt climbing back up the stairs muttering inaudible things all the way up. ‘What's his problem?; Jeff asked himself and decided to find out. He slinked up the steps as Matt turned down the hall and into the study, which was being used as the beginning of a workout room. Matt nearly slammed the door shut as he started to brood. (Matt's POV) What the hell is wrong with me? I'm acting like a little baby that can't have a freaking toy because it costs too much. I guess there's a little truth in that though. Jeff's the toy I can't play with. He started it today too! Just by looking at me with those emerald eyes. I feel like I'm drowning every time. Dammit! OK, now let's move on to something else. Um... er... well this just sucks, all I can think about is him, being alone in this house. Where the hell is Shannon anyway? *** Jeff pressed his ear up to the door and still only managed to hear Matt mumbling to himself. Jeff was still trying to figure out what his problem was but was a little afraid of the answer that he'd get. Jeff heard some shuffling in the room come from the other side of the door and decided to try the knob. As he started to twist it, Matt turned the look and pulled open the door. Jeff's eyes widen as he tried to steady himself but end up falling and his ear was now against his brother's chest. He could hear Matt's heart speed up a few beats and willed himself off to look at Matt. Matt's breath had evaporated in his lungs when he felts Jeff's head against him. He tried to turn his desire into anger and managed to do so...a little. "What were you doin'?" Matt demanded and immediately regretted the sharpness he heard in his voice. Jeff avert his eyes and looked over Matt's shoulders instead. "Tryin' to figure out what your problem was." "What problem? I don't have a problem. Who said I had a problem?" Jeff stepped back and folding his arms against his chest. He looked as if Matt had just cheated on an exam. "Uh-huh, sure you don't have a problem. How stupid of me." He slid into the room past Matt and sat down on the bench press in the middle of the room, still baffled that Matt would actually use it instead of just going to the gym. He rested his forearms on his thighs and look up at Matt. "So then why did you have this look on your face the whole time Amy and Trish were here?" "What kind of look?" Matt leaned against the doorframe and crossed his ankles, glad that Jeff was a few feet away from him now. "Oh, this look that said you wanted to kick someone's ass." ‘Maybe I do.’ Matt thought to himself but instead answered, "I just wasn't ready to have more people around when I had just climbed out of bed." The dream was also a factor. Jeff studied him for a minute and then decided not to push it. Then he remembered Matt having a dream during the night. He was suddenly curious to now what it was about. "OK, then what was your dream about last night?" Matt heaved out a sigh. "Why would it matter to you any?" "Just want to know. I mean you were moanin' and calling my name, I just thought it would be something interesting." Jeff smiled a little when he saw Matt squirm against the door a little. He was proud that he had the power to make his usually calm brother squirm and feel uncomfortable. Matt decided to act as if he was clueless about his dream even though it came back to him vividly. "I don't know. I don't even remember you in it." Jeff wrinkled his nose. ‘Damn stubborn man,’ he thought to himself and got up off the bench. He pushed past Matt and turned while Matt kept his back to him. "Don't you start closing up on me, man. I've missed you for the couple months so I plan to make sure you know how much by the time we have to get back." And with that, Jeff headed downstairs as he heard a car pull up, hoping it was Shan. Matt wanted to scream. What did he mean by making sure he knew how much he missed him? He felt like his face was burning and his shorts tugging around his waist. Matt wanted to know and he wanted to know now. He pushed away from the door and went downstairs but stopped on the fourth step down when he saw Shannon straddle Jeff on the steps and tearing at his clothes. Matt groaned in frustration and headed back to his room. He was really starting not to like Shan much anymore. Chapter 4 Pushing into what I want Because I am so goddamn selfish Left you hanging, stopped relating I don't know why, love you so much I can't feel because I'm lost Not too much mad as no more Is it you, is it me, is it us or is it trust? (Matt's POV) Jesus Christ! Don't they ever get tired!? Both of 'em have been at it for what, three, four hours now? "Oh, God Jeff!" "Cum for me, baby....MMMM" "Oh, dear Jesus!" Blah blah BLAH! They scream to the point where I want to puke. WHY HERE!? Jeff's got a house all to himself. A few of those holes could use some christening. I think I'm becoming paranoid or something. I think the whole reason why they stay here is because Mr. Moore wants to rub all his little bump, bump sessions with Jeff in my face. It's not fair. I feel like I'm being a bitter little brat. 'Oh, you should be happy for them. Can't you see how much they love each other?' NO! I can't. I'm really starting to despise that little prick. Really, I mean he can easily get off in Jeff's bed like he gets off in mine. He's been like that for a couple years now. Come to think of that, he's been Jeff's little baby the same year, Jeff gave himself over to me entirely. There's gotta be a connection somehow. Crap, trying to figure this shit out and those to screaming at the top of their lungs is giving me a migraine. *** Matt had to get out of the house. He was going to go mad if he was cooped up any longer with Jeff and Shannon. He made up the excuse of going out to grab some things at the store. Both of the sex kitten's faces lit up knowing that the whole house would be theirs for a few hours. They both ran to the front window to see Matt pull out. Shannon had moved behind Jeff and pushed his head out of the way as he wrapped his arms around Jeff's waist. "Think we scared 'im off?" Shannon asked teasingly as he started to nuzzle his nose up the back of Jeff's ear. He licked around the shell of his ear before drawing Jeff's lobe between his teeth and started to nibble on it. Jeff drew the curtains and smiled a little. "Maybe, I mean I was makin' you scream like a bat outta hell. Exercising the demons!" Jeff replied and then grabbed the back of Shannon's legs, hiking him up on his back. "Jesus, man! I thought sex was supposed to help you loose weight, not gain it. Get off!" Shannon pouted out his lower lip and slide off of his back. As Jeff started to turn around, he slugged him in the shoulder. "I'm not fat!" Jeff smiled, rubbing his shoulder a little. He brought his other hand up and took hold of one of Shannon's cheeks. "Aw, wittle baby fat, nothin' more." He pinched the other cheek and ducked another swing. Shannon was caught off balance and gave Jeff the advantage. As Shannon started to twist with his own force, Jeff caught him by the waist and pressed his bare chest against his back. He rubbed his cheek against Shannon's and nearly purred into his ear. He pressed his hand flat against Shannon's stomach and started to stroke it gently as he closed his eyes and started to sway his hips towards Shannon. "So what are we gonna do for an hour or so in the big ol' house, Shan?" "Mmmm....when Matthew's away, the children shall play," he said as he rested his head on Jeff's shoulder and turned it slightly, having enough access to his neck. He started to kiss slowly up towards Jeff's ear as he started to back into his arms. Before Jeff could wrap Shannon in his warmth, Shannon twisted away and danced back a few steps. Jeff cocked an eyebrow at Shannon's mischievous grin. He held up a finger for a second and left Jeff in the doorway a little confused. A few minutes later, Shannon had come back with a camcorder on and in hand. "A new porno star will be born!" *** "God damn punks!" Shane Helms hollered as he grabbed the metal baseball bat from his coat closet. ‘I'm gonna get 'em good this time,’ he thought to himself with a smug grin crawling onto his face. He crept up behind the door and grasped the knob as he put the bat into position. Slowly, he pulled the door back. "Teach you to mess with me!" Without looking, he swung hard and nearly hit Matt's head. "Jesus H. Christ, Shane! You answer your door like this everyday?" Shane opened his eyes and his smile grew. "Oh, hey there. Didn' see you." “Obviously." Matt pulled his hands down from his head and straightened away from the brick of the house, the only place he could move to keep from having his skull bashed in. Now his hands were at his hips and he was glaring a hole into Shane, to which was just shrugged off. Shane stepped aside as he propped the end of the bat on his foot. Matt shook his head and entered the house. "What a host. You try and smash a visitors brains in before taking their coats. Such manners, man!" "Why, thank you! I've been polishin' up on them." Shane did a bow as Matt rolled his eyes and headed into the kitchen. Shane propped the bat up on his shoulder as he strolled into the kitchen as if not having a care in the world. Matt was terrified that his house wouldn't survive an hour alone with Jeff and Shannon. He slumped down into a stool near the kitchen counter as Shane came to the other side and set the bat down on the counter top. "Wanna beer or something?" Matt crossed his arms on the top and leaned down, propping his chin up on them as he nodded. Ah, the thing Matt missed most, silence. Shane looked at his long time friend for a second, noticing the dark rings starting to form under his eyes from lack of sleep. Damn those two. He went over to the fridge pulling out two Coors. He popped both of them and handed Matt his as he took a long swig of his own drink. "Man, you got potato bags hangin' under them eyes. When's the last time you had more than two hours of sleep?" Matt brought both of his hands up, pretending to count on his fingers. "Uh....I think it's about nine or ten hours, wait, no days, nooo, months, wait a sec....years, that's it. And now the bags decide to show up." Matt shrugged as he took a sip of his beer. "Eh, maybe I'll borrow some of Jeff's paint crap to hide it. You and me both know that's what he uses it for." Shane looked at Matt once more and shook his head. "They still in your house?" "Yep, I'm a little scared to what I'm gonna come home to though." Matt said as he gave a pained expression. "Just had to find sanctuary from the two banshees." "Well, next time they come over, answer the door like I do. Might get arrested for assault or even manslaughter but, hey, few hours of peace and quiet." "Hmmm, a couple years in prison for a few hours of peace and quiet. Naw, they'd end up putting me in a cell with two more cell "Mates"." "Most likely." Shane grinned and took a long drink of the Coors as he placed and elbow up on the side counter top. Even half asleep and slumping over, Matt looked like one version of the perfect male. Shane's eyes widen momentarily at the thought and shook his head, as if trying to rid himself of the idea. They had this routine of going from close friends to comfortable lovers and then back again. ‘Not the time for it,’ Shane knew. He knew about this little obsession with Jeff and Shannon's relationship Matt had started to become vocal about. Matt raised an eyebrow as he watched Shane shake something. He decided to let it be and sipped at the beer bottle. "How long you gonna let me hide out for?" He shrugged and mumbled into the rim of his bottle. "Don' no, don' care." "Okay, my bet is, you get tired of me hanging around and kick my ass out by say....seven." "You have way too much faith in me. Five hours...HA! So then what are you gonna go here for these five hours?" Matt smiled a little, wickedly is how Shane put it. "Well, I wanna go find a bed. Think you could help me with that?" "Okay, then what are you gonna do after you find this bed?" "Depends on what your gonna do." "You sure?" "Eh, I think both of us need some play time. Lord knows how many hours the sex fiends had to play this vacation alone." Matt slipped off the stool, pushing Jeff out of his mind and then sauntered over towards Shane and planted a kiss on him. They automatically fell into the comfortable crook of their arms. Chapter 5 Matt woke up with Shane curled at his side, mumbling things that no one could understand and reaching out for more warmth. Matt yawned as he looked around the dark room for a set of glowing red digits and found it to be 11:20. He rubbed his eyes with his free hand, leaving his other one around Shane's shoulders. He reached around pulling the covers up around Shane's bare shoulder and heard a sigh of contentment. Matt envied him terribly for it. He was able to loose himself with Shane for a few hours of blissful and mind-numbing sex. The only problem with that was that when it was over, his problems would come back to him. At least he thought that being jealousy over his own flesh and blood was a problem. He was able to put those thoughts at bay while he was making love with the man at his side and he tried to keep that up, feeling it wasn't fair to Shane. But he couldn't help it. Guilt nipped at his conscience and he tightened his grip around Shane's shoulder. "Uh...Matt, you think you could let some air between us? I think you're givin' me a collapsed lung here." Shane's voice came through the darkness. It startled him a little to hear it since he was sure Shane was dead to the world right now. Matt shifted a little away from him with his arm loosely holding Shane still. "Sorry," Matt said softly as he moved to his side to face Shane. "S'ok." Shane strained in the bleakness of night to see Matt's face, trying to see if there was anything like regret or guilt on his face. In the dull light of the moon, he saw a quick view of that exactly and frowned a little. He looked over Matt's shoulder to see the time and a sliver of hope came in to play. "So I guess we both lost the bet. I didn't kick you out in less than five hours. Damn," He shook his head. "So you end up spending the night. Just peachy." Shane forced a smile as he made a face. He heard a soft and slightly nervous chuckle bubble out of Matt. Shane wanted to keep Matt to himself tonight and not have Jeff interfere. He leaned up and kissed him lightly on the lips and warned off the feelings. Shane smiled against Matt's lips when Matt's other arm wrapped around him and pulled him over. "I can spend few hours or so before Jeff ends up deciding to pull out of Shannon long enough to wonder where I am," he said and kissed Shane aggressively, managing to leave Jeff on the backburner. *** Jeff slipped from the bed that he thought could barely hold anymore weight than it already was. He looked down at Shannon sleeping soundly as the lamp near the bed casting an amber glow on him. As he stretched and turned his head to see what hour it was, he saw a little angry red light blinking in the corner and knew they had left they're little film continue to roll on them. He smiled a little and walked over, shutting off the camera and padded his way down the hall. Jeff poked his head into Matt's room and found the bed empty. His brows furrowed together as he scowled and saw the time on the nightstand. 1:46 A.M. Where the hell was he? He thought that he just hadn't heard Matt slip in because he was tied up with Shannon....so to speak. He thought about the possibilities of where he would find him and instantly knew that he would hang out with Shane to get away from them. He pouted his lip as he stepped down on the final step. As he went into the kitchen for something to refresh him, he heard the back door creak open and a figure sneak into the house. Jeff froze for a second and grabbed the nearest thing he could, a spatula. Great. Jeff crept towards the person as he started to move to the counter. Jeff flipped the switch and attacked the intruder, hitting him over the head over and over again. Matt covered his head and started to duck but was ending up being beating the ground by something. He growled and grabbed Jeff's wrists, managing to pull him off of himself. "Jesus Christ, everyone wants to hit me tonight!" Jeff stopped dead in his tracks when he heard the familiar voice. He brought his hand up to cover his mouth and tried to stifle giggles and his smile. "Oh, hey. Sorry there Matt, I thought you were a psychopath or something." "Look who's talkin'." Matt grumbled and rubbed the back of his head. He looked over at Jeff and glared a burning hole in his head. "No one ever looks anymore." Jeff set the spatula down on the counter and couldn't help himself. He held his stomach as he laughed at his disgruntled older brother. "Laugh it up, Chuckle head." Matt muttered obscenities as he walked into the kitchen and to the fridge, pulling out the pitcher of Apple Juice. He glanced over his shoulder at his brother who was still in a fit of giggles as he pulled down a cup. "What are you doing up anyway?" Jeff breathed deeply and couldn't quite get his smile to disappear. "I could ask you the same thing." Matt managed to hide his blush that started to rise in his cheeks as he mumbled, "Hangin' out." Jeff rolled his eyes and came over to Matt, leaning over his shoulder and sniffing Matt's neck. "Uh-huh. I'm sure hangin' out smells a lot like a good screw." Matt shrugged his shoulder back, trying to get Jeff to move away and the only made Jeff move in closer, bringing the tip of his index finger under Matt's chin to turn his head. Jeff smiled as he saw plenty of color in his face. "Hangin' out wears you out too, I bet." Jeff chuckled as he kissed the tip of his nose and snuck Matt's cup of Apple juice out from under him, downing the whole thing. He leaned his hip against the counter as he crossed his arms. "And what makes you think I was getting screwed?" Matt managed to squeak out. "Your not that good at lyin'. Plus we got ESP." Jeff pointed to his head and pretended to send a thought over to Matt. Matt rolled his eyes and snatched his cup back from Jeff to pour his own glass of juice. "Shannon's not going to be here tomorrow." Jeff said, disappointment in his voice. "Said he's gonna be getting ready for the Cleansing." Matt didn't know if he should be relieved or afraid of what to do. "So he's got like something major or something this year?" Jeff shrugged and glanced up at Matt. "I just thought I'd say something so I would let you know it'd just be us tomorrow." Matt blew out a stream of air and took a big gulp of his drink. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and gave Jeff a sideways glance. "Ok...then that must mean you’re stuck with me cleaning up your little playpen." Jeff smiled crookedly and nodded. "Yup." "And that means I get to get you back for hittin' me over the head with a damn spatula." Matt smiled as he grabbed the spatula off the counter behind Jeff and attacked Jeff. "Aaahhh!" Jeff squealed as he went down, fending off the blows with his arms and turning his head to the side. He ended up under Matt, squirming and yelling with delight. The spatula quit moving when Matt's stomach came in contact with Jeff's. Jeff opened one eye and looked up at Matt who was biting his lip and dropped the spatula to the side of Jeff. "What's wrong?" Color rose up from Matt's neck and into his face as he felt Jeff under him. "Uh...erm...." Matt stumbled for words and hoped Jeff didn't feel his heart leap out of his chest. "Am I interrupting?" Shannon said as he leaned in the doorway of the kitchen, with his arms and ankles crossed. He stood with his navy blue terry-cloth robe looped around him. Matt looked over at him and pushes himself off of Jeff. Jeff leaned on his elbows and glanced up a Shannon. "No, just Matt hittin' me with this." He held up the spatula. "Oh, that was the kinda scream I heard." Shannon said, glaring over at Matt. Jeff got to his feet and walked over to Shannon. "Why don't you go on back to bed and I'll be up in a few." Shannon hesitantly obeyed and walked up, giving Jeff a peck on the cheek. When Jeff turned, he saw Matt putting the pitcher away and keeping his eyes at the ground. Jeff wrinkled his nose. Matt was closing up again. Dammit, why? Jeff thought as he walked over and put a hand on his shoulder. Matt stiffened momentarily and then went back to cleaning his cup. "Ok, so why'd you freak out?" he asked. "Nothin'" Matt said and dodged anymore questioning by climbing the back stairs of the kitchen that lead straight up to his room. Jeff let out a sigh and flipped the switch, moving up back to Shannon. Chapter 6 By the time Jeff came tumbling down the stairs in a pair of black Starters pants, Matt was already getting buckets of water ready to wipe down every surface...just in case Jeff and Shannon thought to make use of it. Jeff's eyes were half-lidded when he swayed into the kitchen and grumbled something about it being to damn bright for winter. He dived into the fridge pulling out the pitcher of apple juice. As he poured himself a tall glass of it, Matt unconsciously stared at the groggy Jeff Hardy the morning after one too many hours alone with Shannon. He saw that his jaw was a lightly dusted with hair that looked weird on a few other men but blended perfectly for Jeff with his strips. A few strands of hair were standing up on end that gave Jeff an even more youthful look to him, a hell of a lot younger than any twenty-five year old. Jeff, even half asleep still, was quite perspective. Once he turned around to head over to the table, he saw Matt staring at him the same way an artist might do before putting a brush to canvas. It was creeping him out and in a small part of him, turning him on just a little. Little video's show he liked to be watched. Instead of coming back with something remotely flirty, he raised his eyebrow and let an annoyed appearance come over him. "What the hell do you want at...." Jeff looked around for the time, "whatever o'clock it is?" That snapped Matt back into reality and a blush slightly crept into his face. He shrugged. "Well, the normal people of the world have been up and industrious for hours now. Guess I forgot you aren't normal. I mean, your appearance just says it all." "Well duh. Big red truck." Jeff said with exaggerated enthusiasm. Jeff walked over towards the table. He slumped down into the chair as he tossed back is first swig, managing to get the taste of morning breath out of his mouth for a few minutes. Matt tossed a pair of shirts that looked like something he used to own. He eyed them warily and then flicked a glance up at Matt. "You showin' me you collect something now or what?" "No, that's what you get to clean the upstairs with. Your's and Shannon's mess, your turn to clean it." Jeff wrinkled his nose and whined, "I never said I was gonna clean this place." "Yeah, you did, last night." "I...I was delusional. I mean two in the morning is not exactly the best time to make deals with me. I say all kinds of crazy shit." "Oh, well, then in that case..... I'm still makin' you keep the crazy shit you said last night." Jeff snarled a response a Matt to which he shrugged off. "That or you can shovel the snow for once." Matt took Jeff's silence and smiled a little. He walked around towards the table and grabbed Jeff by the shoulder as he started to lead him towards the back door. "It's actually nice out today, sun too. You might want shovel instead anyway." His grin grew a little more as he pushed open the door and grabbed the fresh bucket of water. As Jeff looked around for a second, muttering about snow being cold, Matt came up from behind and lifted the bucket over Jeff's head. He dumped the whole thing over Jeff and set the bucket down on the end table near the door. Jeff's mouth hanged open as his entire body stiffened to the water on his skin. He turned around and faced Matt with his hands fisted at his sides and water dripping off of his nose and hair strands. Matt was standing there, grinning like an idiot. "Had to wake you up somehow." he said. Jeff let out a primal scream and charged into the house. "Oh no! You are so gonna pay for that, you ass!! In the fucking SNOW!!!" Jeff pounced at Matt and he dodged in enough time for Jeff to land face first into the sofa. Matt was nearly in hysterics as Jeff scrambled to his feet and came again at Matt. Matt started to back up and tripped over the corner of the coffee table, landing square on his ass. That gave Jeff the opportunity and had him on Matt, his hands pinning Matt's shoulders to the ground. "How 'bout I stick you into the snow and pour you a cold morning shower. How much would you like it then, hot shot!?" Matt was laughing too much to even care. "Did I...I ever tell you...you look good in water?" Matt started to inhale deeply to catch his breath and opened his eyes to see Jeff glaring down at him. He kept himself from laughing all over again but kept his smile. He felt Jeff's hips on his and it felt too comfortable, too nice. He leaned up, still smiling at his soaked brother and touched his lips to Jeff's. Jeff's body jolted a little at the contact and kept his gaze even with Matt's. His hands were no longing pinning Matt's shoulders, but gripping on to them. Matt was a little surprised with himself that he let him slip but once his mouth was hot on Jeff's, he couldn't pull himself back and instead deepened the kiss. He traced the outline of his lips before dipping his tongue into Jeff's mouth. He tasted like heaven. As Matt started to groan and drift his eyes shut, Jeff pulled away and got up off of Matt. "Why did you do that?" he asked as he messed with his fingers, not looking straight down at Matt. "I...um....I don' know. I'm sorry, Jeff. I wasn't thinking." Matt explained as he started to feel like he had sinned worse than anyone could. He made Jeff uncomfortable. He got up from the carpet and Jeff looked up at him a little. "It's ok." Jeff said meekly and walked over towards Matt. He gave him a hug to reassure Matt that. "It's not like it didn' happen once before." Jeff gave him a half smile and looked around, trying to get rid of the tension. "So...where's a bucket I can dump on you?" Matt shrugged. "I ain't gonna get a bucket dumped on me because your gonna use it instead for upstairs." He walked up into the kitchen to set Jeff's bucket down on the table with the rest of his cloths and went into the first guest room to scrub down everything, anything that would keep his mind off the living room and Jeff. Like that could ever happen again. |
