Our trip 2003 - week 3.

Photos taken to Tues April 29, 2003
Palm Sunday Hi,
Third week completed.

Good Friday, April 18, was a lovely day, and we joined the march from the Village Hall up the hill to the church.

We took possession of the officially green Mondeo the day before the rains returned. The man on the TV was explaining that England was in the grip of a drought, and the cows were giving less milk. We saw the daffodils had collapsed due to the heat, and the children next door were playing in their paddling pool.

front door Now I am noticing how the new doors are designed to prevent rain being blown in, despite the lack of roof overhangs. Martin has a problem with some of his new double-glazed windows, because the rains broached the seals so getting between the two panes of glass.

cowsThe sun came out, and the cows were in the paddock across the road, so I went out for some photographs, to the bemusement of the commuters homeward bound. This image includes our Friend Derek's favourites - he called the trees on the horizon 'The Four Sisters'.

The Gang Show is the feature for this week, held at Cheltenham. Their web site is gloucestergangshow.org.uk

May God smile on you today,
Elizabeth
