I can never stop
learning. One of the major reasons for that is that I can
never stop forgetting. So, I have to continually knock on
my head and say, "Helloooo! Did you know that you're
supposed to know how to do a quick sort?" To all
those that have a similar tendency to disregard the
important things in life, here's what I have to say..
Keep it up. Understanding is more important than knowing.
Thanks to thousands of books and resources on the net,
you can forget about remembering & concentrate on
conceiving (ideas not babies).
Shaking off the seriousness cr*p:
When I read that bit up there about understanding, I thought I'd begun to sound like a professor. Believe me: A professor is way different from an instructor. Professors know too much for their own humility to handle, so that they begin to sound like they actually know less.
Instructors are masters at the art of deceiving.
They are knowledgeable ("Don't follow the course material. The course material is wrong.").
They are honest ("I don't know the answer to that. I'll get back to you.").
They are forthright and upholders of all else that is right ("I understand but I can't do anything about the lab timings. This is the Center Head's policy.").
They are rebels ("Why don't you talk to the Center Head?").
