  Projects

Completed many projects during my study at the institute

• Won Best Electronics merit in Contraption competition at Techfest 2004, Annual Science and Technology Festival of  IIT Bombay  held on  24^th to 26^th January 2004  

• Shock Preventer – trips the circuitry in case of Earth Leakage. This project was adjudged “Special Award of merit” at the Engineering Fair 2003, held at Birla Industrial & Technological Museum, Kolkata

• Digital Counter – It counts no. of events/objects, length and displays it in 4 digits

• Temperature Indicator/Controller – Displays the current temp. and sounds off an alarm when the temp. goes over a set value.

• Computer Control for remote car – it interfaces computer with a remote controlled device. The car could be driven by mouse, keyboard, joystick etc. It can also receive feedbacks like obstacle and react to them

  Software Project:

• Inventory Control System – keeps the track of sales and purchase of any company and informs the current goods-in-hand. (used VB)

  Training

• Microprocessor, Micro-controller & PLC organized by Center for Electronics Test Engineering, Kolkata

• Microprocessor 8085 held at Birla Industrial and Technological Museum

• Completed a course on Visual Basic 6.0  with Access

  Co-curricular Activities

• Actively participated in the cultural and literary events in the Institute like annual fest, debates and student seminars.
• Held the post of Editor of the institute’s News Letter for two consecutive years.
• Was the Secretary (Media and Publication) at Eclecia 2004, Annual cultural fest of Heritage Institute of Technology
• Passed NCC “A” Certificate under 20, Bengal BN NCC (Army).
• Actively participated in training camps held by Eastern Zonal Award Authority (EZAA)  and received The International Award For Young People (Bronze Standard) from HRH The Duke of Edinburgh
