I love the trees in the beach area. The winds have molded these trees into delicate, twisted shapes. Some of my favorite trees are on this page ! Enjoy ! |

When Trees Dance Apalachicola, FL |

Apalachicola lost these beautiful dancing trees. Not to a hurricane. To love. They loved their grassy park near the sea. They fertilized and watered the grass. The grass looks great! The trees died and were laid to rest the autumn of 2000. |

Broccoli Tree 1 |

I had to name this tree, the Broccoli Tree. It looks just like a head of broccoli with steam rising off the top. To be able to catch this angle, I had to lay on my stomach and shoot up the dune. |

Broccoli Tree 2 |

This is the same set of trees, the same sand dune, taken several years and several hurricanes later. This was shot early morning so the infra red was not very evident that early. Not enough heat on the leaves. |

Taken around 7 a.m., only the tips of the trees show any infrared effects. The red filter used with infra red film and the film itself always creates such a dramatic sky ! |
