Here is some information concerning the creatures, constructs and Horrors encountered by the characters. I will not be including any statistics with these creatures until later.

Black Locust - a jaw-dropping Horror!

The players encountered this Horror while they waited out a blizzard at Jacob's Well. Black Locust appears as just that, a menacing glossy black locust of gigantic size, some three feet from head to tail with antennae twice as long.

It has displayed the ability to shrink itself to enter Namegivers and horribly exits the victim's body by crawling up their throat and dislocating their jaw as it expands to it's normal size. While inside a victim, Black Locust is able to control it's host, forcing them to attack friends and loved ones. Once the victim's friends subdue them, the Horror makes it's killing exit.

Black Locust displayed at least two magical powers. The ability to paralyse Mantious with its gaze as well as to Horror Mark Valantas.

The Horror has displayed a voracious appetite, completely consuming the bodies of several of it's victims that were left unattended. As of this writing Black Locust has not been killed and the party undoubtedly await it's return.

Ice Flyers - flying simians that bring a chilling death....

Ice Flyers resemble white, winged baboons, standing roughly 6 feet tall and weighing up to 700 pounds. Some, though not all, of their feathers gleam as if made of crystal.

The Heroes encountered these chilling creatures on their way to Kratas. Swooping out of the blizzard they surprised the group and caused serious damage.

The Ice Flyers can use a special magical effect on a target which wraps the target in bands of magical frost. Once again Mantious found himself paralysed and unable to display his so-called Swordmaster skills during most of the combat.

During the melee, Amroth Van Storme was compelled to enter a howling contest with the Ice Flyer pack's dominate male. This macho test was cut short by Mantious as he engaged the leader in combat. Eventually three of the five Ice Flyers were killed, the other two getting away. From their wings the Heroes gathered 31 crystal feathers.

The Waste - a Globberog beneath the City of Kratas

The Globberog resembles a pile of garbage made from refuse and human corpses. This particular Globberog made the sewers of Kratas it's home.

The heroes encountered it after agreeing to help Johana Greymantle find her missing brother Durgan. Like those of it's kind, this Globberog possessed the revolting gob spitting ability, which caused Mantious to enjoy a sideline veiw of the battle. The Waste, as it was called by the late Durgan Greymantle, also possessed an incredibly long chameleon-like tongue to draw prey to its sticky outer shell. Wulf and Forge both experience this attack but in the end flaming oil and several lucky hits killed this abomination.

The Invae - insectoid menace from.......?

The Invae are an evil, loathsome insectoid race that show no mercy to the people of Barsaive. They capture Name Givers and transform them into others of their kind using large chrysalis-like pods.

Many years ago when the Invae were first discovered the people of Barsaive united to wipe their evil plague from the land. This time was called The Invae Burnings. Many of the insectoid race were killed as well as many innocents who could not be saved from the dark corruption caused by the Invae. It is believed that the Invae survived the burnings and have been in seclusion every since planning their revenge. As much as is known about them, which is little, the origin of the Invae is unknown. Some scholars believe they come from the depths of Astral space, others believe that they are actually native to Barsaive, and few believe they come from beyond our world.

The Invae resembles humanoid creatures with the features of insects including, but not limited to, ants, bees, beetles, mantis and wasps. They possess extraordinary agility and the ability to climb most surfaces. Their most fearsome aspect is their venomous bite which gradually paralyses those unfortunate to be bitten by them.
