To Feel the Earth Move

Before her looking west
Lay the Atlantic Ocean
Calm and serene this sunny day
And then it happened
She felt the earth move
Not in the usual way
Where one stands and imagines
But in the magical way
That comes from within
And is unconscious
And unplanned
That moment where
One can be where one is
But also with an otherworldly overview
Of this Blue Pearl of magnificence
As it meanders its way
Through the blackness of space
Silently and majestically
Oh how she savoured and treasured
Such truly wondrous moments.
