Is there anything we've missed?

The Blackpool Pleasure Beach
and I don’t get along,
anathema to me,
where hordes of people throng.
Loud music, bright lights
and screams attack my brain,
pushed and shoved and bullied,
I join the human train,
Following aimlessly,
helpless to fight back,
no clear exit, from this
seemingly endless track.
Darkened skies just serve to make
the neon more intense,
assisting the deafening noise
to invade my every sense.
Then, amidst the mayhem,
I feel a gentle tug,
I look and see a tiny face
just begging for a hug.
I lift her up and smile,
experience a hush,
sanity returns to me,
I’m free from all the rush.
Radiant with joy,
she plants a little kiss
and whispers "Daddy,
is there anything we’ve missed?"
