Question: What other music are you listening to besides Metallica ?
Music: Besides Metallica, it's still Johnny Cash, along with Alice in Chains, Motorhead, Ozzy Osbourne recently as well. I just saw Motorhead at the House of Blues. It was awesome. I rocked out in the pit and gave my self whiplash.
By the way, Johnny Cash is only second to James Hetfield for being the coolest guy in the world. I seriously recommend checking his stuff out. No joke.
Question: This has probably been asked a million times before but, what is your favorite Metallica song/album?
Fav Metallica song: Fuel " " album: can't decide but perhaps Reload cause it's got heavy and soft (under the assumption I have to chose one album to listen to for the rest of my life, actually probably the black album for the same reason. And if I could cheat, S&M cause it's a mix of old and new plus it's a double CD.
Question:What are your top 5 Metalica songs?
My top 5 Metallica songs, huh? In no particular order, Fuel, Nothing Else Matters, Ain't My Bitch, ahhh, there's too many but here's some ones I am listening to nowadays that are my kinda now favorites. Whiplash, The Thing That Should Not Be, Outlaw Torn, Waste My Hate, Poor Twisted Me, Bleeding Me, Fade to Black. These ones didn't get much radio play but I've kinda rediscovered for myself and there righteous.
Question: What's your favorite piece of art or artist, and what does it mean to you?
Not a big art fan but do have several limited edition Spiderman paintings, sketches, stenographs or whatever they're called that hang on my wall. Todd McFarlane would be my favorite artist of Spiderman.
Question: Since you spend alot of time in LA , if you buy a house would you rather have it in LA or Canada?
Depends but Canada probably.
Question: What is your favorite word of the english language? or of any language?
Favorite word: It's not a favorite word but the most interesting word or origin that I recently found is the word "excruciating". It was invented to describe the pain the Jesus felt on the cross because there was no word available or known that could accurately describe the pain he went through.
Question: Do you like cats?
I hate cats but am taking one we found in Covina. It's great. It licks like a dog and plays like one and is quite affectionate, not like 99% of the rest of the species. I'm getting it this week sometime and am naming it "Dog". It's a white little kitty and is very cool. I still hate cats though.
Do you like cows?
Cows are okay, especially barbequed with a little marinate
Question: Hey Brendan! Just wondering.....how did you end up being in the "Stuck in a moment" video for U2?
How I got it was the director, Joseph Kahn, came up with a list of up and coming actors he thought could have a good chance of being the next big thing and who he could help out with that. Eventually I was chosen and was offered the video. Before we got back to them saying yes, I was told, don't know if it's true though, that Ryan Phillipe wanted to do it and had inquired and asked. In the end though, because I wasn't already so famous and stuff they thought that I'd be better cause I was known enough to do it and bring it an audience and be recognized but not famous enough to take away from the video and what it's about.
Question: Hey Brendan, do you ever watch your own performances? and I've heard actors say that they are their own biggest critic, does that apply to you also?
Watching my own performance: I do and usually watch it between 5-7 times. The first 2 times I usually watch just me and over critisize and hate it even if it's good. But the 3rd and 4th times I become more objective and am able to judge it fairly. Then after that I may catch it on TV or something or plug it in the VCR to just see again out of curiousity and always hate it cause now I've watched it too much and am bored and become over critical again.
Question: Are there any questions that you're always asked at every interview and tired of answering? And do you ever wish you could just hand over a card with their pre-printed answers on them rather than answer them again and again...?
The question I hate and don't answer is " Do you believe in aliens? "
Question: Whats the funniest rumor you have heard about yourself?
Funniest rumor: got caught sniffing cocaine in the Paramount bathroom; dating Britney Spears; engaged to Majandra (that was in the Star); am the coolest and greatest man ever (I've had that from several people over the course of my existence, unfounded as of yet however but looking into it); am gay; the new bassist for Metallica (unfortunately I will not be trying out for Metallica because I can't play a single instrument never mind the bass for the greatest band in the world. )
Question:What is a typical da on the set of Roswell like?
A typical day on set is 12-15 hours in which you are only in front of the camera acting for about 4 hours. The rest is lighting, setting up, rehearsing, blocking out the scene, lunch, and waiting around for your scene(s) to come up. Sorry for the quick answer but it's basically that simple. Here's 2 quotes to sum up acting that are commonly used: "I get paid to wait and act for free" and "Hurry up and wait!!" Ummm...
Question: In Roswell your character Michael is a cook why does he never washe his hands before touching the food ?
The washing the hands thing I brought that up to [to the producers-EG] and it just never fits in with how we have block the scene and where the camera's are and stuff. Yeah, I suppose it's kinda gross but I just tell myself I didn't hold it and just let it hang out there HA HA HA.
Question Which Cologne do you wear?
Some are Chanel Egoiste, Swiss Army, l'eau par Kenzo, and Lacoste. I'm a cologne freak.
Question: Have you ever been on the Spiderman ride in Universal?
I have ridden the Spiderman ride in Florida and it was awesome.
