I was taken up the ancient steps
Curved by so many bare feet through time
I looked out far above the palm trees
Dancing through ancient mazes and tiny doors
The old woman touched my cheek and my heart
In tears she told me she loved my white teeth...

My backpack was filled, heavy with school paper
I gave it all away to village kids
Who had never had the joy of having a whole pack of paper...
The elephants are so smaller there
The war brought lack of food and landmines...
I'm scared to think of a world without elephants...

Raneth took me to the old city market
I had donations for the victims of landmines
From you...and you...Oh, thank you!
I cashed a hundred dollar bill into ones
And gave it all away in moments
To a sea of smiling limbless human beings...
