Transformation Story
I have become great friends with Tom "Anthony" Roehl and his wonderful wife Teri over the past year.

Tom had been training for quite some time but like me before I won the EAS contest, could never achieve the level of fitness and condition that he always strived to achieve. Although he entered the BFL challenge several times and made some progress, he still was not able to "get over the hump" and achieve the physique he was desperate to obtain.

Well, along with my coaching and the BodyLogix training and supplementation program, Tom was able to take 2nd place in the very first BodyLogix Transformation Challenge. Tom is a well-known singer in his neck of the woods...cheese country...beautiful Wisconsin! So he is kind of used to being the center of attention. But now, with his win and his goal of helping others become healthier and fit in his grasp, Tom realized his lifelong dream. And he HAS become the center of attention because the knowledge he possesses and passion for helping others has created a tremendous demand for his time...but one that he loves giving freely. But as Tom has recanted to me on many occasions, "I really do it all for Teri!"

And so, this is the story of Teri Roehl, and how she overcame a lifetime of overeating and always being overweight, and continues to truly "get better with age". Please click on the links at the end of the story to see the truly remarkable changes Teri has made. And after being married to Tom for over glorious 20 years, they are now experiencing an even closer bond than ever before, and the best is yet to come! Here's her story...
I started exercising, using a variety of aerobic tapes, each lasting about 20-30 minutes. I found I had to do it first thing in the morning or something might come up after work to give me an excuse not to. Simple things like laying out my clothes the night before made a big difference.

Tom also introduced me to weight training, something I never had done before. I had always been afraid of getting big, "manly" muscles but Tom assured me that would not happen.  What it does do is give me incredible muscle tone and by combining and alternating it with my aerobics it has increased my metabolism, given me more strength, endurance, energy and flexibility!

My transformation did not happen overnight. I transformed a little bit each week. I lost an average of 1 ½ to 2 pounds a week. Early on, at times I felt it was not fast enough, but I stuck with it. I believe the reason it worked this time was because it has become a
"lifestyle". By adjusting my food portions, and taking a little time out for myself to exercise, I noticed a little more improvement each week until I reached my goal.

At 41 years old I am proud to say this past August is the (2) two-year anniversary of reaching my goal weight! I started at 135 lbs. and now consistently weigh 106-108 lbs. I went from a size 12/14 to a size 2 petite! I've lost the weight and kept it off! But even more exciting has been the change in my life.

My husband is so proud of me.  I have more energy to give others, and more enthusiasm for everything I do.  People constantly compliment me on how much I've changed and how good I look.  They say, "You look ten years younger."  I know you can see the change in my smile too! It's a bit overwhelming at times.  But I have never been happier!

I am so proud of Tom who says, I inspired his transformation. He became one of Bodylogix first Transformation Champions in the over 40 category this past August!  During his Bodylogix Transformation I also began using the Bodylogix principles. I have learned so much and made even more progress!

Most people find "maintaining" can be harder than actually reaching a goal.  But since Tom started the Bodylogix Challenge I also began using the Bodylogix supplements and have found I have greater energy, mental focus and stamina! It has made it easy to continue to improve even though I am maintaining.
My Inspiration  - The Love of My Life

Where Teri was....
I'll never forget that day in August when my wife Teri, came to me tearfully and said "she NEEDED to make a change in her life!" She loved me, but did not feel good about herself. She felt fat &  unattractive. I reassured her that I loved her and to me she was still beautiful and I felt that she didn't need to make any changes. I know now, that I still had the girl I had married in my minds eye each time I saw her, just as she has told me she still looked at me as the young athletic man she had married 20 years ago.  True love, I guess, clouds reality :) sometimes....

I am so very proud of her and what she has accomplished. Here is her amazing transformation story. She is my inspiration, and truly the "Wind Beneath My Wings"

I hope her transformation inspires you the way it inspired me.
We have met so many wonderful people who share our new healthy lifestyle. We met Harry (Hank), Graciella (his wife), and Scott Nelson (1998 Experienced category EAS Physique Transformation winner) at the BFL get together in Vegas this past April along with so many other fantastic positive people.

This past August we met Drew Avery, Rehan, Dylan (BodyLogix CEO) and the Bodylogix staff along with more incredible individuals at the Bodylogix Transformation Celebration. Each shared their amazing story of transformation.

And several weeks ago we made even more new friends as we participated in the first ever "Wishlift" in Evansville Indiana for the Make a Wish Foundation.

My transformation has been
Life changing! It goes way beyond just a physical change. It has touched every aspect of my life in a positive way! The fact that Tom and I can share this "gift" we have been blessed with, makes it even more special.

We are committed to helping others experience the same wonderful experience we have and would be happy to help anyone wishing to commit to their own personal transformation.
Teri's Story
I wondered when I began how I had gotten to this point. I lived a fairly active lifestyle and never was considered "heavy" by others. At least they never told me. I think the word was "chunky." The extra weight had accumulated a few pounds a year since high school. Each year or so, I was buying bigger clothes. I was also feeling tired more often. I guess we get caught up in life and just forget to take care of ourselves. At 39 I reached a point where I told my husband I had to do something.  I was uncomfortable, feeling tired all the time, and not at all happy with my self-image.

I had tried diets and gadgets before with limited success but never anything that lasted.  This time it would be different!

I wanted a
Lifestyle, not a quick fix.

I set a definite, realistic,
goal.  I had the vision of how I wanted to look, a specific plan and set a deadline to meet that goal, with milestones along the way.  I made the commitment to long-term success...I had to. I felt this was my last shot and I was desperate.
I had seen an ad for Jenny Craig and decided to go for it.  This was before Body For Life or Bodylogix. I was fortunate to have a nutrition councilor by the name of Thea who helped me learn how to eat properly.  She taught me about food values, portion control, and the importance of drinking water. She was there every step of the way for me. Having a good coach, mentor, or training partner can give you both support and positive pressure to reach your goal.

I made my meal plan each Thursday for the next week. Tom & I would go "speed" shopping early Saturday morning and we'd
prepare our food on Sunday's for the week ahead. I started with some of the pre-packed Jenny Craig foods for convenience but mostly fresh foods. This was very important as it helped us both eat properly. We found that many times in the past we gave in to eating "junk" because it took "too long" to prepare our foods when unexpected things came up.  By having our meals "ready to go" it eliminated that problem.  "Speed shopping" as Tom calls it, is our way of making our meal plan, writing down exactly what we need for the week, and only shopping for those items.  I eat a wide variety of foods. I include nutritious servings of fruits & vegetables with every meal along with a portion of protein.

I use Bodylogix Bio Complete Meal replacement shakes and never go anywhere without my emergency Bodylogix Bio Complete bar.  ½ a shake or ½ a bar of each is just right for me.
