Ryslen Weyr

T'rinn had just turned 15 when he and Yuraith went home to East Rock. His green had grown up and had become quite a character.

Look at me! Look at me! she cried as she flew in loops in the noontime sky. T'rinn laughed, but he couldn't watch all too well, since he was on board, but he was enjoying himself. Of course, Yuraith was having a good time too.

YuraithT'rinn and Yuraith were a good team. Yuraith's hide was a deep green, and her wingsails a smoky green that contrasted beautifully. She was a bit small, but that didn't matter. She was always raring to go, and could almost outlast a brown when flying Threadfall... almost. With practice, Yuraith had learned to flame accuratly, and had a much larger burst of flame than other greens. Neither she nor T'rinn cared that the 'stone would render her sterile. There were plenty of fertile greens -- Pern didn't need Yuraith to lay too.

Yuraith landed in the weyrbowl, and T'rinn dismounted -- carefully. He was just a bit dizzy from all those loop-de-loops. Me too. Yuraith siad, sitting back on her haunches. HEY! she yelled to a passing blue. Weyr's my Where?

Whatever the blue said wasn't very nice. Back to you, berry brains! Yuraith yelled as the blue winged up to his ledge.

J'kosh walked out towards T'rinn. "Quite a mouth your gal's got." he laughed. T'rinn gaped.

"You heard her?"

J'kosh laughed. "No..." the Weyrleader said. "Zerroith passed it on."

T'rinn was relieved. "So where are Yuraith and I staying?" the greenrider asked, looking around. Ryslen was so big!

J'kosh considered. "Well... since Yuraith gets along with Amitath so well, maybe you'd better roost above the lake..." J'kosh said pointing. "Most of those weyrs are vacant, so take your pick , and make sure you write your names on the map!!" J'kosh yelled after them. They were already on their way.
