7TH ANNUAL ATOM/PEE WEE HOUSE TOURNAMENT

APRIL 8-14, 2002

  1. C.A.H.A. rules are in effect. No Protests will be accepted.
  2. All teams must carry travel permits (where required) and have proof of birth date for all players.
  3. All teams are asked to be in the appropriate arena 30 minutes before games time, the schedule must be followed at all times.
  4. Any team that does not show for a game will lose that game by default 5-0
  5. Each team will be given a 2-minute warm-up commencing as soon as the zamboni has left the ice. Note – no player(s) are permitted on the ice while the Zamboni in still on the ice.
  6. Coaches and Managers will be responsible for the conduct of their team on and off the ice.
  7. Any player or team official awarded a game misconduct; match penalty of a gross penalty will be suspended for the remainder of the tournament.
  8. Any player or team official who, in the opinion of the tournament committee, displays poor sportsmanship or sets a bad example, will be suspended from the tournament.
  9. All games will consist of three 10-minute stop time periods – no time outs will be allowed.
  10. A misconduct in the last five minutes of a game will result in a further 1 game suspension.
  11. This is a sanctioned tournament so unless otherwise stated in these rules, Nova Scotia Minor Hockey Council Rules will apply
  12. THE REFEREE’S DECISION IS FINAL.
  13. There will be no "Rep" players permitted to play in this tournament for any reason. Any player not listed on the original roster submitted to the Tournament Committee will not be permitted to play in this tournament unless previously approved by the Tournament Committee. Any team playing with an illegal player (either knowingly or unknowingly) will forfeit that game to the opposing team 5-0.
  14. In the event of a tie (after round robin play, the higher position in standing shall be awarded to the team that:                  A) the team with the most wins.
  15. B) was the winner of the game between the teams that are Tied.
    C) has the higher ratio of goals for and against (goals for Divided by goals against).
    D) has the best plus / minus record.
    E) has the most goals for.
    F) has the fewest penalty minutes.
    G) wins the "Flip of the coin" During the playoff games, a tie will be broken by:

    1. a 5 minute running time sudden death, 3 on 3
    2. a 5 minute running time sudden death, 2 on 2
    3. a 5 minute running time sudden death, 1 on 1
  16. All game sheets must show travel permit # (for those teams applicable) and full name of the teams playing. Game sheet will be given to coaches/manager at the door before each game. Please use the dressing room assigned, once a list will be at the door.
  17. All decisions of the Tournament Committee are final.
