Webster, Ky.

1st, During the month of Nov. remained near camp, a part of the company going on various scouts with parts of other companies. The regt. during this month captured upward of 200 rebels

2nd, Dec. 1, 20 men of the company under the captain went to protect the circuit court in session/6 miles. Made a scout of 12 miles up Red River. Captured one horse on 2nd day - which had been stolen by rebels and were fired upon by a bushwhacker, but no one was hurt.

3rd, Dec. 25, 27 men with the captain with detachments from other companies and Maj. Stiver [?] marched 27 miles to John___ Red River, overtaking a party of twenty-four Rebels; captured all their horses and 11 men and returned on 26th without the loss of a man.

4th, During the month of Dec. the company did its full share of scouting. The battalion captured fully 50 rebels. The company in the 4 months has attained considerable proficiency in cavalry drills; never received their horses until Nov. 20

Station of Company,
Mt. Sterling, Ky

Was engaged in fight with Blake's (*) rebel force at Mt. Sterling, Ky. and a portion of the company captured. Fight occured on Mar. 21, '63. Were ordered to camp Dennison. Were exchanged + returned to regt. on May 26, '63. A portion of the company has performed much scouting duty with portions of other companies and captured many rebels having been almost constantly engaged in scouting tho company has not made much proficiency in drill.
