I hearby respectfully tend in my resignation as Lieutenant Adjutant of the 14th. Ky. Cavalry for the following reason. Failing health, the condition of my health being such that it wholly incapacitates me from the discharge of my duties. In lieu of this & decide to quit the service and would respectfully ask to be immediately released.
