Orchestra members can obtain tickets at orchestral rehearsal evenings.

Cocktails and canapιs will be served at 7.00p.m. before the concert on September 15th, giving members old and new a chance to meet each other and socialize.

The Paragon Concert Society Over a good many years, from time to time the Paragon Concert Society, which administers funds left by the late Leo Reid Baker, has let us have donations. These have been used to offset some of the travelling costs of artistes who have made long journeys to the Club in order to perform for us. The Society has contributed a further £250 for which we are most grateful.

It has come to the committee's notice that an unknown person gained access to the Club premises whilst someone was inside practicing. He rang the doorbell and said that he had left his keys at home and wanted to use the rear practice room. We now know that this person was not a Club member. Please be vigilant if you ever have to answer the door when using the Club.

Lastly, enclosed is the Autumn programme. There are some really excellent programmes on offer. Please come and support the performers.

I look forward to seeing you there, for our first concert on September 1st.

Best wishes,

Bob
