The Bristol Piano Club has been succesfully running since March 2006 and enjoys a warm, friendly membership of adults (ie over 18 years old) who enjoy playing and/or listening to the piano regardless of level. We meet monthly in various member's homes and occassionally at the Bristol Music Club. The usual format of the evening includes playing to or with one another for a couple of hours and sharing a meal together. There is plenty of flexibility in the meetings and members are welcome to make suggestions. 17/10/04 RELEASE OF COMPACT DISC BY OUR LATE PRESIDENT, CHRISTOPHER BUNTING SymposiumRecords have released a CD: "CHRISTOPHER BUNTING PLAYS BACH" It is from private recordings of the 1960's.
The CD comprises:Suite No. 1 in G major, BWV 1007; Suite No. 2 in D minor, BWV1008;Suite No. 3 in C major, BWV 1009 and Suite No. 6 in D Major, BVVV 1012.Christopher studied with Maurice Eisenberg and Pablo Casals. He gave world premieres of concerti by Finzi, Rawsthorne and Routh, and also many British first performances. Throughout his career Bach's suites were central to his repertoire.
