My
name is Greg Wilson. I am a middle-aged man who joined Kenpo 10 months
ago. I am currently an orange belt. I look back when I first started Kenpo
and I would have never believed that I could do some of the things I can
do
today. I have looked at other martial arts in the past and took Tai Kwon
Do
for a short while, but questioned it's effectiveness and practicality in a
real life situation where a person might be attacked. Kenpo in my opinion
is
different from other martial arts because of it's methods of application.
In
Kenpo you do not have to be the biggest and strongest, fastest or even the
smartest individual to excel at it. If you practice and apply the
techniques
that have been tried and tested by the Kenpo practitioners you will be
amazed how well it works. Besides teaching a very practical and deadly
fighting form to protect yourself Kenpo has other attributes. It is a
martial art that also teaches respect, self discipline and physical
fitness.
I would recommend Kenpo Karate to anyone that desires to better themselves
and learn a form of self defense that is second to none.
