About "East Side"
Created way back in May of 1994 when I was just an eighth grader, I have waited years to finally make this soap come to life, but I was waiting for the right medium....at first I was thinking a novel, or a series of novels to tell the tales of the characters I had planned, and at one time even considered finding a way to make it into a comic book....but all of that has changed. I decided to do something totally different and very unique. I decided skip the fear of cancellation - make it into an episodic "e-soap," a soap that would appear strictly on-line. And so with that began "East Side"...

The way it's set up is this: I'm always on the look-out for character representatives (a.k.a. "models") to help viewers get an idea of what a character might look like.

The story is written by myself, unless otherwise noted (if you want to help, just give me an
e-mail). Each season will consist of three episodes that are set up like the acts of a play - the first episode will help to set up the storylines, and the second will reveal more of the intriguing plots, and will be wrapped up with the action-packed last episode, which will bring us into a new season with all-new excitement and adventure. I have decided to break down the episodes into short chapters that will be debuting every Wed. and Fri. (unless otherwise noted) and will probably take around 40-some chapters to make a complete episode. Trust me though, the chapters will be worth the wait!

Also, before you start reading the chapters, it is suggested that you take the time to explore the world of Lawrenceville, CA, where you can go
downtown and visit the businesses, or read the character profiles and family tree in the Cast List section. The more you check out prior to reading the story, the easier it will be to understand the episodes (because to get into the action right away, I've taken out the unneccessary explanation of how each character fits into the story).

So with that, sit back and enjoy the newest "e-soap",
East Side...

Sincerely,
Wiliam-Charles Wenham,
creator of "East Side"
