Egyptian Association for the Ship for World Youth (EASWY)

The EASWY Board Members

One Key Person (KP) and Two Assistant Key Persons (AKP)and a Batch Representative from each program

The Start

Egypt participated in he Ship for world youth program for the years 1990, 1992, 1994,1996, 1998, 1999.

In compliance with the spirit of SWY to enhance the international cooperation and mutual understanding the Egyptian AA started as a sub committee of the Japanese club  at the American University in Cairo. The purpose was to link the Egyptian and other nations cultures and to channel Egyptian ex-PYs to experience the forthcoming youth generations

But the real EASWY, the Egyptian Association for the Ship for World Youth was born in 1996 during the reunion that was held in Dubai and where  the idea of International Association was first initiated. After the delegation return, we started collecting information about the ex-participated. We had a large reunion where representatives of various delegations, assistant key persons and key person were chosen.

The EASWY is characterized by its special nature. As the member of its members exceeds 90, we were able to benefit from the various experiences and different situations through which Egyptian PYs have already passed. The culmination of all that past experience was materialized in the constitution to help maintaining EASWY strong and coherent during the next phase.
